4. Outcome of the program/workshop:

Faculty members from the Department of Mechanical Engineering visited the ‘IMTEX
FORMING 2020 & Tooltech 2020', organized by Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers'
Association (IMTMA), at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru
on 27th January 2020.
Faculties were visited the 602 stalls of ‘IMTEX FORMING 2020 & Tooltech 2020', and
gain the cutting edge technology and sharing the knowledge in the field of metal
forming like welding, shearing, cutting, blanking, piercing, high-speed laser cutting
machine, sheet metalworking, welding and joining, presses, metrology, and
CAD/CAM, automation in sheet metal manufacturing, Industry 4.0, additive
manufacturing etc from the global manufacturing fraternity during the visit.

Technologies in metal forming such are being exhibited live by machine tool
manufacturers which helps the faculty members to update and gain their knowledge
in the field of advanced manufacturing systems.
