Activity The teacher will instruct the students to read an excerpt from a poem “Desiderata”
But there is a catch they need to read it in just one minute.
This is to see if what level are the students in their reading and comprehension
skills. At the end of the time they need to jot down the main idea of what they have
read.
Analysis After the activity the teacher will ask:
Can you rate your reading and writing skills?
Rate your self from 1-10
Ask: Why did you give that rate to yourself?
Abstraction Teacher will present the Lesson.

Application The students are instructed to read again the poem “Desiderata”
After reading they will write what message they learned from the poem or what is
the poem all about.
Students are also required to answer the following questions:

WHAT IS WRITING?
A method of representing language in visual or tactile
form.
A system of graphic symbols that can be used to convey
meaning.
The use of sentences
It is made up of sentences.
Students who can get a correct word can they will gain 10 points. If they
will have misspelled a word It will be given 5 points only.
