Storey instructs lessons in small groups and have a variety of ways to show their understanding. She has a great understanding of gradual release to independent
work according to her Cooperating Teacher. She provides visuals throughout the lesson with video, white board, demonstration, and work books to help make
connections. She uses technology to keep students engaged and support the learning objective.

Storey plans a variety of anticipatory sets, in this lesson a video that introduces the learning objective. Prior to the lesson, students are introducing vocabulary, which
allows them to discuss at their table group or complete answers on their whiteboards. She uses supplementary resources daily. Her teacher-led instruction is done
using the Smart board and aligned activities give them optimal practice time prior to completing independent work.

Storey relates content to real world examples to help with connection. She is learning to complete interdisciplinary units. She actively listens to her students opinions
and ideas.

Storey has students grouped based on benchmark tests and she releases them gradually throughout lessons based on their understanding of the lesson. She
provides an assessment that determines what instruction each group will receive. The lessons are sequenced with sub-objectives, modeled, and aligned activity. This
allows for skills in the specific lesson to be really understood according to her Cooperating Teacher.

Storey varies her role in relation to the purpose of instruction and her students' needs. She makes clear the learning and behavioral objectives for the group. She
does a great job checking in on her students whether they are in the group with her or rotating through the centers. She assesses the "I Can Do It" question that
each student answers to help inform her planning. She uses classroom technology daily. According to her Cooperating Teacher, Storey has done a nice job
understanding when she might need to adjust lessons in the moment to support the group.

Storey is part of her school's learning community and meets, as a whole, weekly. She participates in professional development and was part of a training for the
current reading endorsements and reading support. She has built a learning community with her students and has a good rapport with them. She meets with them
individually so understands the needs of each and acts as an advocate as needed.

Storey uses a variety of assessment data to guide her planning and grouping of students. She uses small groups when she needs to reteach the objective.
