Symptom

• What do the IUUC_PROCESSED values in the logging table mean?

• How does SLT keep track of which configurations have replicated the records in the logging table?
• How to tell what configurations still need to replicate records in a logging table?

Environment

• SAP LT Replication Server 1.0

• SAP LT Replication Server 2.0
• SAP LT Replication Server 3.0

Resolution

The IUUC_PROCESSED field in the logging table, indicates which configurations replicating from it have
already done so. The value in this field is based on the CONSUMER_NR number that is specified in the
IUUC_1N_CONS_REG table on the source system. When a record is replicated through one the
configurations, SLT adds 2(CONSUMER_NR - 1) to its IUUC_PROCESSED value. Once the
IUUC_PROCESSED value reaches the maximum value for the corresponding number of configurations, the
record is removed by the SLT reader function module.

Here is the table of IUUC_PROCESSED values for replication of tables in up to 4 configurations.

With DMIS 2018 SP00 / DMIS 2011 SP15 and later, tables can be replicated through more than 4
configurations (at the cost of performance). While this adds additional triggers, the same logging table is used
where additional entries are added to IUUC_1N_CONS_REG. Therefore the max value for
IUUC_PROCESSED can go beyond 15.
