INTRODUCTION

Definition
A Complex network or Circuit may consist of ‘n’ number of elements. To reduce the
complexity, star to delta and delta to star transformation can be done, this transformation
simplifies the circuit easily.
Explanation
Star-to-delta and delta-to-star transformations are techniques employed in electrical
engineering to simplify complex circuits. In a star configuration, three elements are
connected at a common point, forming a Y shape, while in a delta configuration, the elements
are connected in a closed loop resembling the Greek letter Delta (∆). The star-to-delta
transformation involves replacing star-connected elements with equivalent delta-connected
elements, simplifying the circuit for analysis. Conversely, the delta-to-star transformation
replaces delta-connected elements with equivalent star-connected elements. These
transformations are valuable for simplifying circuit analysis, especially in situations where
the conversion between star and delta configurations leads to a more straightforward
understanding of the circuit's behavior.
