1. What do you think about gene therapy?

Gene therapy is a medical approach that treats or prevents disease by correcting the underlying genetic
problem. Gene therapy techniques allow doctors to treat a disorder by altering a person’s genetic
makeup instead of using drugs or surgery.

2. Do you think the Food and Drug Administration should or should not approve gene therapy
treatments for use in the Philippines?

No, because we are limiting the potential breakthrough in our own biological sciences. Yes there may be
danger in this type and field however that is a small sacrifices compared to the wonders it can bring on
our country. We can create our own health saving technology without relying from the foreign
countries.

3. Do you think the government should or should not fund scientific researches on changing the genes of
unborn babies that aims to improve their characteristics such as intelligence or physical traits such as
athletic ability or appearance?
As a man of science, I don't see what's wrong in altering the genetic capability of a person if it can
benefit them. It can bring us a whole new talented generation that helps our country to prosper. The
thing I don't tolerate is that if there is massive sacrifices with a minimal positive result. It can bring harm
in the name of genetic manipulation and can be subjected to
