BACKGROUND OF THE ACTIVITY
ACTIVITY SLUMBER PARTY

OBJECTIVES
The Objectives of the Activity are the following:
1. Enhance the strategies of teachers and school heads
in handling co-curricular activities appropriate to the
developmental age of kindergarten learners;
2. Improve the values and showcase learners' skills in
terms of independence from parents, self-advocacy,
making and strengthening friendships, and learning
valuable self-help, social advocacy and
communication; and
3. Promote enjoyable and engaging learning
environment.
PRELIMINARIES
The activity was organized and managed by the kinder
adviser and she is the facilitator of the said activity.
It was started with an Arrival song, followed an
opening prayer through audio visual presentation and
dressing up of kinder pupils. After that the activity formally
started.

PROCEEDINGS
The proceedings of the activity go this way: after the arrival
song, opening prayer and dressing up of the learners. It
started with giving a group presentation. They presented a
dance, poems, and singing a song. After the group
presentation the facilitator conduct a parlor game assisted
by the teachers, it was indeed a fun and engaging activity.
The next activity was the hand washing wherein the learners
teach on how to wash their hands properly. With that, they
prepare for their snacks with the supervisory of the teacher-
in-charge. Of course, before they eat their snack, they pray
first thanking for the food they received. After eating, Tooth
brushing was followed wherein pupils are brushing their

 teeth thoroughly. After their toothbrushing the facilitator
assigned a teacher to deliver a story and in the person of
Mrs. Cherry Ann V. Lasaca the Grade III adviser which she
read the story about the THIRSTY SPARROW. The
learners actively listened to what the story teller say.
Afterwards, it was bed time where kinder learners have their
time to nap and relax. (The teacher plays a lullaby
music/song) Subsequently after waking up the kinder have
their morning prayer, folding their beddings and lastly, the
generalization where learners are being asked what they
have learned about the activity conducted.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE ACTIVITY

Through the conduct of this activity the learners gained
knowledge on how to improve their learners’ skills in terms
of independence from parents, self-advocacy, making and
strengthening friendship, and learning valuable self-help,
social advocacy and communication
STRENGTHS
 Established unity and good communication toward
teachers, parents, and learners
 Checked the targets and accomplishments

CHALLENGES
Though some learners are not easy to handle
because some have tantrums still the activity done
successfully.
RESULTS
 The identified objectives and target were met.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Unity of everyone is the key of success.
