We have different students in the classroom, whom I will evaluate visually to know
which area I can focus on to get their attention and make everyone participate in
the class without going off topic, taking care of the way in which I approach them. .
The posture and behavior of the teacher during class will influence the level of
attention that the students show. Therefore, if the teacher teaches the class
standing up, making movements and moving around the classroom, a much more
active and favorable climate will be maintained for the students.
Strategies:
Although there are many strategies to stimulate the brain and capture students'
attention, any change in the monotony of the classroom can be welcomed. For
example, we can add metaphors, stories, challenges, comparisons, debates,
readings or videos to your explanations. (in this case we would use the projector,
trying to maintain order and be able to hear well, since the audio is not highly
functional).
We can apply the game together to incorporate all the students and encourage
them to participate through word games, we can add some method of
remembering what has been seen in past classes.
Let's start by saying that nouns in English have two forms: singular and plural.
The singular is very easy to understand, but the plural has its own peculiarities.
The first rule is very simple: to form the plural in English you have to add the suffix
“–s” to the noun. For example: “orange – oranges”, “pen – pens”.
Or add the suffix “–es” if the word ends in “-ss”, “-x”, “-ch”, “-sh”: “dress – dresses”,
“fox – foxes”, “bench – benches” , “dish – dishes”.
Another simple rule: if the word ends in “–y” preceded by a consonant, you must
add the suffix “–es” and change the “y” to “i”: “cherry – cherries”, “puppy –
puppies”.
However, if there is a vowel before the letter “y” (ey, ay, oy), only “–s” is added and
nothing else is changed: “monkey – monkeys”, “toy – toys”, “day –days”.
