• Many exceptional Filipino artists emerge as the arts in
the country progresses. These artists aid in promoting
arts in and out of the Philippines through their artworks
and their contribution to their specific fields.
• The government recognizes their remarkable inputs in
the development of Philippine Art. Through the National
Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCAA) and the
Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), it gives awards
to these notable contemporary artists and the most
prestigious recognition of them is the Order of the 11

Traditional art in the Philippines

generations from master craftsmen to apprentices.
