o Francisco Reyes Aquino – UP alumna from Bocaue Bulacan was
a folk dancer and PE teacher. Decided to compile and research
on the ethnic and colonial dances of the Philippine regions
o Ramon A. Obusan – dancer, choreography, stage designer, and
an artistic director through his Ramon Obusan Folkloric Dance
Group. Promoted the unique and graceful dances of the
Philippines.
o Alice Reyes - founder of Ballet Philippines (1969). Official
resident dance group of the cultural group of the cultural center
of the Philippines. Being a dance teacher, director and
administrator to propel ballet training and performances In the
country.
o Leonor Orosa Goquingco – native of Jolo, Sulu. Known for her
versatility as stage actress classical ballerina and director.

o Lucrecia Reyes Urtula – Iloilo city dancer teacher and researcher,
executive director of the Bayanihan Dance Group. Brought the

Theater and Film
 Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero – pride of Ermita Manika and Ateneo
Community. Published and produced 41 plays as a playwright
 teacher actor and director. Known for humor love moral
dilemmas and the use of local idioms and colloquialisms.

 Lamberto V. Auellara – native of Bontoa Mountain province.
Post war stage and film director. His 1939 film Sakay was the

Tondo Manila. Father of Taglish Poetry, he translated into

 Severino Montaro – playwright actor and director from Laoag
Ilocos Norte. Made 50 plays such as the love of Leonor Rivera,

 Salvador F. Bernarnal – native of Dagupan Pangasisinan he is
