Arturo Luz- Arturo Rogerio Dimayuga Luz


was a Filipino visual artist. He was also a
known printmakers, sculptor, designer and
art administrator. A founding member of
the modern Neo-realist school in Philippine
National Artist Award, the country’s highest
accolade in the arts, in 1997.

Benedicto Cabrera- Benedicto Reyes


Cabrera, better known as ‘’BenCab’’, is a
Filipino painter and was awarded National
Artist of the Philippines for Visual Arts in
2006. He has been noted as ‘’arguably the
best-selling painter of his generation of
Filipino artists.’’

Andrea Veneracion- Andrea Ofilada


Veneracion was a Filipino choral conductor
and a recipient of the 1999 National Artist
for Music Award. She founded the
Philippine Madrigal Singers in 1963.

Lucio San Pedro- Lucio Diestro San Pedro,


Sr. was a Filipino composer and teacher
who was proclaimed a National Artist of the
Philippines for Music in 1991.

Alice Reyes- Alice Garcia Reyes is a Filipina


dancer, choreographer, teacher, director
and producer. The founder of Ballet
Philippines, she received since June 20,
2014 from the Philippine President Benigno
Aquino lll the highest award in the Arts,
National Artist of the Philippines.

Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo- Felix Resurreccion


Hidalgo y Padilla was Filipino artist. He is
acknowledged as one of the greatest Filipino
painters of the late 19th century, and is significant in
Philippine history for having been an acquaintance
and inspiration for members of the Philippine
reform movement which included Jose Rizal,
Marcelo del Pilar, Mariano Ponce, and Graciano
Lopez Jaena,

Jerry Navarro Elizalde- Jeremias ‘’Jerry’’


Elizalde Navarro was a Filipino artist. J.
Elizalde Navarro is an important contributor
to Philippine modern art. Bestowed the
National Artist Award for the Visual Arts
shortly after his death. Navarro was among
the first generation of modernists after the
war.

Agnes Arellano- Agnes Arellano is a Philippine


sculptor known for her surrealistic sculptural
groupings. Arellano is best known for making
surrealist and life-size expressionist sculptures
primarily in plaster. Her works focus on feminist
issues and show how women are traditionally
portrayed by reinterpreting local myhts.

Eduardo Marferre- Eduardo Marferre was a


Filipino-Catalan photographer who made
important documentary reports about the
lifestyle of native people in the region of
the Cordillera in the Philippine
photography.

Roberto Chabet- Robert ‘’Bobby’’ Rodriguez Chabet
was an artist from the Philippines and widely
acknowledged as the father of Philippine
conceptual art. Roberto Chabet made a major
contribution to the development of contemporary
art in the Philippines from the 1960s onwards in a
wide variety of roles, including artist.
