Fernando Amorsolo
 Fernando Amorsolo y Cueto (b. 1892, d.
1972) was the Philippines’ first National
Artist and is officially recognized as the
“Grand Old Man of Philippine Art”.
 He is best known for his craftsmanship
and mastery in the use of light.

 Filipino artist Jose T. Joya is best known for

 Kidlat Tahimik means “silent lightning”, is an

force in his community.
 Eric Oteyza de Guia, better known as Kidlat

whose films are commonly associated with
the Third Cinema movement through their
critiques of neocolonialism.

Eduardo Masferré
 Eduardo Masferré was a Filipino-Catalan
photographer who made important documentary
reports about the lifestyle of native people in the
region of the Cordillera in the Philippines at the
middle of 20th century.
