 Painting is an image (artwork) created using


pigments (color) on a surface ground such as paper
or canvas. The pigment may be in a wet form, such
as paint, or a dry form, such as pastels.
 Sculpture the action or art of processing (as by
canvasing, modeling, or welding) plastic or hard
materials into works of art; three dimensional work
of art.

1. Fernando Amorsolo
• First National Artist Visual Arts (Painting)
• One of the most important artist for painting
in the Philippines.
• Landscape painting and for backlighting
technique with is popular.
• He started his career at 13 years old serving
as apprentice to his mother cousin, Don
Fabian Dela Rosa w/c is also painter.

• At age 17 he enrolled at Art School of Liceo
de manila where he earned honors and for his
paintings and drawings.
• He also study in UP School of Fine Arts and
graduated 1914 with medals.

Director for School of Fine Arts.

1. Fernando Amorsolo
His masterpieces showcase rural landscapes which applied light
techniques (chiaroscuro). One of this is the now world-famous
Planting Rice series depicter here.

he hails from Bohol and
became famous for his
artistic statues Blood Compact,
