- However, there is a need for tighter payment management. Payment can be a
crucial part of the process, so it should be managed more rigorously to ensure
there are no errors. It is advisable to implement automated payment management:
Utilize an automated payment system to minimize errors and optimize the
payment process.

Chapter 4: SALES TARGETS

- The company believes that the unfavorable macro context, weak demand, frugal
consumption trends and rising business costs will be difficult to change quickly in
2023. This affects all businesses in the country. economy. In that context, MWG
will strive to maintain business, prioritize protecting healthy cash flow, limit risks
to ensure the business's resilience in difficult market periods as well as prepare
resources force to accelerate when the production and business situation shows
signs of recovery.
- Developing a specific plan, MWG expects to achieve net revenue from 135,000 to
150,000 billion VND and net profit from 4,200 to 4,700 billion VND in 2023.
Previously in 2022, MWG recorded revenue of 134,722 billion VND, increased
nearly 9% over the previous year; Profit after tax reached VND 4,100 billion,
down 16% last year.
- The business said it will focus on strictly controlling costs, including controlling
recruitment and adjusting employee hours; Control rental costs and consider the
possibility of relocating premises if significant cost savings are achieved; Apply
technology and control inventory effectively, reducing financial costs.
- Specifically, in 2023, MWG expects the Mobile World (TGDD) and Dien May
Xanh (DMX) chains to continue to be the main cash flow pillars for the company,
contributing 75%-80% of revenue. To maintain revenue, the two above store
chains will focus on increasing revenue per store, optimizing their product
portfolio, and boosting sales of products with growth potential.
- Meanwhile, the Bach Hoa Xanh chain (BHX) is expected to contribute 20-25% of
MWG's revenue.
- For new chains such as An Khang and AVAKids, although they are large markets,
these chains are currently not profitable. Therefore, MWG will temporarily
suspend expansion and focus on keeping stores with positive profit margins.
- With the O2O retail strategy, MWG will take advantage of existing strengths in
technology, continuously innovating to create outstanding experiences to increase
customer attachment to the group's brands and help the Company. Continue to
increase revenue/market share on online channels.
- With the advantage of wide coverage and strong cash flow, MWG will proactively
cooperate with manufacturers to exploit different products and promotions,
bringing practical benefits to customers through product choices. Attractive
products with good prices and many incentives.
- Chains only open new stores selectively (in areas with good potential, stores are
carefully decided to bring profit to the Company). In 2023, MWG does not set a
specific target on the number of new stores opened for each chain.

Chapter 5: SALES BUDGET

- Mobile World Investment Joint Stock Company (code MWG) has just announced
its financial report for the second quarter of 2023 with net revenue reaching
24,465 billion VND, down 14% compared to the second quarter of 2022.
- Along with the decline in core operating revenue, in the second quarter, MWG
also had to bear higher costs. Of which, financial expenses increased by nearly 37
billion VND, equivalent to 10%, to 397 billion VND and selling expenses
increased by 403 billion VND (up 8%) to 5,211 billion VND.
- The reason why second quarter profits were "eroded" was largely due to the fact
that since the end of April 2023, MWG launched the "too cheap" campaign by
massively lowering the prices of many phone, laptop, and electronic products to
compete for market share with businesses in the industry in the context of weak
purchasing power of ICT & CE products.
- Specifically, the total revenue of the two Mobile World and Dien May Xanh chains
reached VND 6,700 billion, down 13% compared to the previous May. According
to MWG, this mainly comes from the decline of air conditioners while other
products continue to improve sales. Air conditioner purchasing power was weak in
June when the North was affected by erratic weather and local electricity
shortages.
- Meanwhile, Bach Hoa Xanh achieved revenue of 2,530 billion VND, using a rate
of more than 24%, continuing to increase 9% over the same period and 3%
compared to the previous May. Growth primarily came from increased orders,
including attracting new customers and improving purchase frequency of existing
customers. Average revenue per Bach Hoa Xanh store in June reached 1.45 billion
VND/store and is expected to continue to improve in July.
- Accumulated in the first 6 months of 2023, MWG net revenue is estimated to
reach 56,570 billion VND, down 20% over the same period. Compared to plan, the
company has completed 42% of its revenue target this year.
- For the BHX chain, MWG will strive to have this store reach a tie score at one
month in the fourth quarter of 2023. Management expects BHX's sales/month/per
store to increase by at least 20% for the remainder of the year.
- In addition, BHX's trial of opening small stores on the ground floors of apartment
buildings has shown positive results. In addition, logistics costs decreased by 15%
in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the average level of the third and fourth
quarters of last year and are expected to decrease by another 10% until the end of
2023.

II. Automatic Promotion" for Management Levels:
Through technology and data, each employee will receive a certain score based on their
performance. If they reach the required score set by MWG for a managerial role, they
will be automatically promoted.

PROCESS - AUTOMATED SYSTEM:

 Step 1: The employee's score is composed of three parts.
First: the ability to generate results, meaning how the employee has contributed to the
overall growth of the branch/region, plus ERP points.
Second: customer service skills, including group and individual service.
Third: interpersonal skills, as without "people skills," it's difficult to become a manager.
The results in this section are obtained through feedback from colleagues. "Being loved
by colleagues and having a long-standing relationship is crucial to becoming a manager
at MWG.
 Step 2: Then it is up to the Corporation's needs.
For example, MWG is planning to open 100 stores in the Western region and needs 100
store managers. To fulfill this demand, the company will look at the system and select the
top scores, starting from the highest, until they reach the number 100.
If the employee with the 100th highest score has 56 points, they will directly notify all
employees in the entire corporation, especially in the Western region, that those with
scores above 56 will have the opportunity for promotion to the store manager position in
this round, and those who do not meet the criteria should strive for the next round. As for
those in the top 100, they will receive direct notifications through their employee
accounts.
 Step 3: This "top 100" will participate in a training course.
There are five categories for becoming a manager: from the operational processes of a
store to management skills, customer service, product knowledge, and presentation skills.
After completing the course, candidates will write a letter introducing themselves and
explaining their motivation and ideal qualifications for the position.
 Step 4: Regional Directors will choose suitable candidates
Based on the company's local market needs and the candidates' letters. Regional Directors
will be provided with initial scores in the five categories and the self-introduction letters;
candidates will have temporary symbolic codes, which are not their employee codes,
ensuring that Regional Directors won't know whose letter they are reading. This is to
prevent any form of cheating absolutely.

Chapter 9: EVALUATION
At MWG, the performance evaluation is currently carried out through three main
methods: scoring, reporting, and secret ballots.
- First, the scoring method is one of the most common performance evaluation
methods, in which each evaluation criterion is assigned a score. These scores are
then aggregated and averaged to determine the employee's evaluation result. This
method has the advantage of being specific, clear, easy to implement, and
customizable for evaluation purposes. However, its application needs to pay
attention to correctly categorizing criteria, avoiding subjective scoring, and
ensuring objectivity and fairness.
- Second, the reporting method is an independent evaluation method where
employees write a report on their work results over a specific period. This method
provides detailed information about the activities and achievements of employees.
However, it requires expertise, analytical skills, report writing abilities, making it
difficult to ensure consistent evaluations among employees.
- Lastly, the secret ballot method is an evaluation method in which only selected
individuals (usually superiors) participate and cast votes to evaluate employees
based on pre-defined criteria. This method has the advantage of ensuring the
security of information and the professionalism of the evaluation process.
However, it needs to ensure fairness in selecting voters and clear evaluation
criteria.
The process of conducting monthly employee performance evaluations at the company is
as follows:
- From the 1st to the 5th of each month, direct supervisors review the weekly
reports of each employee and assess what they have accomplished and what they
have not in the previous month.
- Based on predefined evaluation criteria, direct supervisors provide comments and
evaluations for each employee based on their job performance. These evaluations
are used to rank individual employees.
- Once the evaluation process is completed, the Organization - Administration
department receives the meeting minutes and the ranking results for each
employee. To ensure accuracy and timeliness, these documents must be submitted
to the Organization - Administration department before the 10th of each month.
- The individuals responsible for conducting performance evaluations are local-level
and direct managerial staff within the company, such as department heads, section
managers, or managers of individual MWG stores. These evaluators have been
educated and provided guidance on the company's evaluation system. The
company organizes training, offers guidance, and provides specific documents for
evaluation.
However, the monthly evaluations alone are not sufficient to identify the strengths and
weaknesses of employees and to align future performance objectives. Because the results
of the monthly evaluations are rarely or not discussed and shared with the employees,
there is a need for improvement to make the evaluation process fairer and to help
employees gain a better understanding of how to improve their job performance.
Improvements:
- Instead of relying on checking the process of employees' job performance, the
results-based evaluation method focuses on the final results that employees
achieve. Applying this method will shift the focus to the outcomes of employees'
work, promoting objectivity and fairness in the evaluation.
- Provide a multidimensional assessment method: This method focuses on various
aspects of an employee's work and capabilities, evaluating their job performance
from multiple angles. This makes the evaluation more authentic and helps identify
the employee's competencies, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Utilize human resources management software: Using human resources
management software can simplify the evaluation process, making it quicker and
more accurate. Additionally, this software helps store evaluation data, making it
convenient for tracking and assessing employees.
- Establish a feedback system: The company needs to set up a feedback system after
the evaluation process. This allows employees to understand their strengths and
weaknesses and come up with improvement solutions to develop themselves. The
feedback system also helps managers identify employees' issues and provide
appropriate solutions.
