You MUST bring the same

official photo ID you used
to book your exam, and
your timetable.

All details (names, date of birth,

ID number, nationality) on your
photo ID MUST match your
Candidate Profile Details as
used to book your exam.

NO personal belongings
permitted in the exam room.
Lockers are provided.

Before you enter the exam room:

You will go through some security checks.
You will be asked to roll up your sleeves and
trouser legs; your eyeglasses and ears will be
checked; your pockets will be checked.
You will have your photo taken
You will be given some note paper

You will be asked to wait at your
computer until the start time.

provided at the Test Centre
on the day.
Online Exams

The Speaking & Listening exam is a

short conversation (8-13 minutes)
with an examiner online.

Listening
Reading
Writing

The Listening, Reading, Writing &

Speaking exam has 2 parts:
Written (Listening, Reading, Writing) - it is taken
on a computer and lasts 2 to 3 hours
Spoken - it is a short conversation with an
examiner online and lasts 12 to 17 minutes.
SELT Test Centre Exams

For the Speaking & Listening exam, results will be

sent to you by email 3 working days after the exam
For the Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking exam,
results will be sent to you by email 5 working days
after the exam
Your exam results will also be uploaded to your
LanguageCert Account.
