Agua Fria
AGUA FRIA: The dusty border town where people do business with money
and blood.
Thing is, nobody new has shown up here in a while, which leads folk to
think maybe Red’s been here the whole time. An Agua Fria local, a fine
citizen, with a DEADLY DOUBLE LIFE.
This’ll spell trouble for the town, no doubt. Texas Red is wanted all
over, and it’s only a matter of time before rangers, bounty hunters,
and the like descend upon this place
place, looking to make Texas Red...
Texas Dead.
Good luck, and remember: in a town like this, fortune favours the mean,
the dirty, the cruel. In a town like this, you can’t trust anyone.
NOTE: If you’re playing with six players, there’s a new person in town:
The STRANGER, an out of town fella, who seems like he’s looking for
trouble.

THE SALOON OWNER:
You’re an Agua Fria gal born and
raised, an enterprising one too.
You’ve made a good buck or two
running the local Saloon, You’ve got
more cash than the Mayor, but he
doesn’t have to worry. That money’s
funding your other business.
The law’s on your tail, but you have a plan. Since you got home, you’ve
secretly placed a bag of gold on the SHERIFF’s doorstep every week.
He’s a smart man, he gets the message. He’ll do whatever it takes to keep
the rest of the law off your back.
With this arrangement, the Sheriff is your only ally in town. But he
doesn’t know who you are. The decision to reveal yourself to him is left
up to you.
Your husnand is the DEPUTY, the old idiot. Why’d he have to get involved
in the law? He’s caused you nothing but trouble.
Folk aren’t gonna stop looking until they think you’re dead. So best let
them think you are. Framing someone else and letting them hang in your
name looks like your best way out of this.
RUMOURS:
-Horses have been going missing from outside your saloon.
-Your husband, the DEPUTY, has been frustrated that the SHERIFF treats
him like a sidekick.
ACTIONS:
Gunslinging’s what you do best. The notches on your pistol number one
and ninteen more. You’re not scared to add a couple more notches... if
someone gets in your way.
