building a

PRICEL ST
for shoutouts
One way to get an idea of what people are charging for shoutouts is to
go on the various sites dedicated to buying and selling them and
look at the prices.

If we search “dog” on jumpfame.com, we get a list of animals interested

in collaborating. Their prices differ quite a bit.

Let’s look at the first three.

As you can see, all three are offering a permanent post, but their prices differ
greatly. @kangal_hd is offering a permanent post for $5, whereas the other
two are charging $50 and $75. When building a price list for shoutouts, you
have to know your market. It appears that there’s a lot of competition in the
dog instagram market, so shoutouts from accounts in the 15 thousand to 50
thousand follower range may not demand the highest prices.

For example, if we hop on over to shoutcart, we’ll find an account with 328
thousand followers that’s dedicated to snakes. Because of the higher
number of followers and since there are probably less snake accounts than
there are dog accounts, they’re able to charge much higher rates.

They’re charging $300 for a two hour shoutout and $500 for a
permanent shoutout.

Let’s look at some influencers in the beauty and fitness space and see how
they’re setting their prices.

@mirjamcherie is an influencer in the fitness space with over 682 thousand

followers. She’s advertising shoutouts on Buy Sell Shoutouts and has a
number of different options.

As you can see, she does not offer permanent posts. Instead, she offers posts
that range in length from 1 hour to 24 hours. These range in price from $60
to $200, and although they’re more expensive than our dog accounts, she
does have a much larger following.

Ericka has a much larger following—more than 5.9 million followers.

As expected, her prices are much higher. She’s also incorporated more com-
plex offerings, such as packages that include stories and bio links. For
instance, for $5000, one can get 3 permanent features, a link in her bio for 24
hours, and 7 stories. When building a price list, creating packages like this is
certainly an option.
