EXERCISE

Fill in the blanks with the right words

The whole town is bubbling with excitement and activity. The **carnival**
is in full swing. There are **marching** bands everywhere; and the
**maskers** have made it a point of honor to wear their most original
**costumes**. Some of them have made animal **masks**, while others are
wearing masks looking like famous people. The ones I prefer are the
**Venetian** masks.

This year, I haven't bought a mask; I have chosen a beautiful **make-up**

with a cat's head. The big **parade** will be held tonight. A huge crowd is
expected to watch the decorated **floats** passing by. From the first of
them, the carnival **queen** will throw lots of flowers towards the people
standing along the streets. At the moment, I am walking down the streets
listening to the song **groups**, applauding the **dancers** and the
**street** artists.

I may go to the **funfair** too: I have always been fond of **merry-go-

rounds**and carnival **cotton**candy!
A VERY GOOD WORK, MY DEAR ANDY!!!
