General Information.

- Fleet calculator is filled in an Excel spreadsheet template that transfers the information to the
PACKAGING FLEET CALCULATOR (PFC) INSTRUCTIVE

breakdown sheet.
- The template only allows to enter 5 items.
- Columns in grey is information that is auto populated and must not be modified.
- Column in yellow retrieves the total investment for the packaging needs of each item listed in the
spreadsheet.
- Vendor must submit this template following the instructions mentioned in this document in Excel
file extension .xlsx.

Submission.

- Date submitted (MM/DD/YYYY).
Input the date the PFC is being submitted.
- Submitted by.
Input name and last name of the person who fills the information.
- Vendor code.
Input vendor code.
- Vendor name.
Input vendor name.
Item information.

- Item number.

Enter the item number with the same nomenclature than the associated PSS.
- Item description.
Enter the item description.
- Ship from location.
Location of the consignor. Input city and state for suppliers in the U.S., city and country for
suppliers outside the U.S.
Format: 2 letters for states and countries. Example:
In U.S. → COLUMBUS, OH
Outside U.S. → TORONTO, CA
- Ship to location.
Location of the consignee (LMC plant): WARREN, OH
- Box/Rack code.
Input the box or rack code. *NOTE: For PFC purposes a rack is considered a box.
- Boxes/UL.
Input the number of boxes per unit load. *NOTE: Since a rack is considered a box, 1 rack = 1 UL.
- Items/box.
Enter the number of items/box per your PSS. *NOTE: Number of items/rack if it is a rack.
- Items/UL.
Enter the number of items per Unit Load.
- Pallet code.
Pallet code will be auto populated for boxes and needs to be left blank for racks.
Item volumes.

- Working days.

This field will be auto populated with 234 days.


- Annual Volume (Capacity Planning Volume).
This information will be provided by LMC buyer and needs to be entered in this field.
- Daily item volume adjustment.
Enter any adjustment to the daily volume. If there is no adjustment, leave this field blank.
- Average daily item volume.
This is field is auto calculated, result of dividing the CPV by the working days.
- Unit loads/day.
This field is auto calculated, result of dividing the Average daily item volume by the items/UL.

Float.

- Return ratio. Ship frequency Frequency factor
Return ratio is the quantity of full box shipments Daily 1.00
divided by the quantity of empty box return shipments.
Three times/week 1.67
*NOTE: This field must be left blank for all expendable
shipments (HBE and BBE). Twice/week 2.50
- Ship frequency factor. Once/week 5.00
This number represents the ship frequency for an
item. Select the ship frequency factor from the drop-down Once/2 weeks 10.00
list. Once/month 20.00
- Vendor inventory.
This field will be auto calculated.
- LMC inventory.

This field will be auto calculated.


- Inbound transit time.
Insert the number of days of transportation from the vendor facilities to the consignee
(Lordstown Motors plant).
- Outbound transit time.
Insert the number of days of transportation from Lordstown Motors plant back to the vendor.
- Contingency factor.
This is a quantity expressed in days and is determined by the vendor for protection against
transit or production failures.
- Number of days’ supply.
This field is auto calculated and is the total number of days worth of inventory required for the
fleet calculation.

- Total ULs required.
This field will be auto calculated.
-Total packaging required.
This is the number of boxes or racks required. This
field is auto calculated.
- Total pallets required.
Number of pallets required when shipping in boxes.
This field is auto calculated.
Costs.

- Cost/packaging.
PACKAGING FLEET CALCULATOR (PFC) INSTRUCTIVE

This is the cost per unit for box or rack that the approved packaging vendor has provided to you.
- Cost/pallet.
This is the cost per unit of a pallet.
- Cost/dunnage.
This is the cost per unit of dunnage required for your packaging. *NOTE: If there is no dunnage,
this field must be blank.
- Investment for packaging.
This is an auto calculated field that retrieves the investment required for packaging.
- Investment for pallets.
This is an auto calculated field that retrieves the investment required for pallets.
- Investment for dunnage.
This is an auto calculated field that retrieves the investment required for dunnage.
- One-time costs.
These are costs associated to a one-time instance. For example, labor, storage, paint, re-
stencil refurbishments, etc. Any cost associated that is not considered in the previous cost
fields.
- Fleet investment (expendable).
Investment required for your expendable fleet.
*NOTE: The amount in this field is the investment per a year worth of orders based on the
costs on the spreadsheet.
- Fleet investment (returnable).
Investment required for your returnable fleet.
*NOTE: The amount in this field is the investment per the program lifetime unless indicated
otherwise by the MF & Packaging engineer.
-Total investment.
This is an auto calculated field that retrieves the total investment required for packaging. This is the
result of the addition of the previous costs.
