RIGHT ATRIUM DEVELOPMENT

"RIGHT ATRIUM -’ 3 SOURSE
1.RIGHT HALF OF PRIMITIVE ATRIUM - FROM ROUGH TRABECULATED PART
-IN FRONT CRISTA TERMINALIS
2.ABORPTION OF RIGHT HORN OF SINUS VENOSUs - SMOOTH PART BEGIND CRISTA
TERMINALIS
2 ABORPTION OF RIGHT HALF OF AV CANAL FORM- MOST VENTRAL -’SMOOTH PART

*ABSORPTION OF SINUS VENOUS - CORONARY SINUS & VENA CAVA ARE SEEN
*RIGHT VENOUS VALVE --’BECOME - CRISTA TERMINALIS, INFERIOR VENACAVA
"LEFT VENOUS VALVE --’ FUSED WITH ATRIAL SEPTUM
DEVELOPMENT OF PANCREAS
*Pancreas Development from - Two buds : Dorsal pancreatic bud
Ventral pancreatic bud
*Ventral bud moves dorsally, lies below the dorsal bud in - 7th week

1.ventral bud - part of head of pancreas + uncinate

2.Dorsal bud- remaining entire pancreas

*PANCREATIC DUCT
dorsal bud & whole of ventral bud
1.Main pancreatic duct derived from distal part of
proximal part of dorsal bud
2.Accessory Pancreatic Duct - derived from -
surrounding mesoderm
*PARENCHYMA DEVELOPS - from
ROTATION OF MIDGUT
clockwise/anti -clockwise
*During reduction, midgut rotates 3 times, each time by 90° in counter
manner.

1.1st rotation: - Pre arterial segment - right side.

-Post arterial segment - left side.
by
2. 2ND rotation: -Pre arterial segment elongates and enters abdominal cavity and rotates
90° anti-clockwise.
*Pre arterial segment comes to lie behind the superior mesenteric artery.

3.3rd rotation: -Post arterial segment enters abdominal cavity and rotates by 90° anti
clockwise.
DEVELOPEMNT OF KIDNEY
*Nephrogenic cord - forms
1.At 4th week
---’Kidney.
mesonephric duct &Paramesonephric duct.
pronephros appears, functions as the kidney &
2.By the end of 4th
3.By 5th week - week - mesonephros appears, disappears by end of 4th
as interim Kidney up to a week.
metanephros
4.A diverticulum arises
functions
appear and starts its function by 3r months.
from the mesonephric month.
duct called ureteric bud
which forms
metanephric blastema.
*The kidneys are derived from
1. Excreting two sources:
- Metanephriccomponent - derived from
metanephros.
blastema - contact with ampulla ’ under go
2.
differentiation form nephron
-
Collecting component - derived from ureteric bud.
uretic bud grow toward metanephric blastema > become ampulla
-ampulla -’ form pelvis of kidney - then form minor & major calyx and collecting tubules
*The kidneys become functional from 12th week.
*Ascent of kidney i- Initial in sacral region -> kidney ascend to lumbar region

*Rotation of kidney - Hilum - first anterior, later hilum come medialy
