MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
-and-
Palm Valley Multiple Intelligence School, a leading private educational institution in Alaminos,
Laguna duly registered with the Department of Education with business/office address at 483
Denmark St., Alaminos Heights Subdivision, Alaminos, Laguna hereinafter referred to as the
“THE SCHOOL” represented herein by its representative, Edna G. Ramos, School Principal.
WITNESSETH THAT
WHEREAS, THE MUNICIPALITY, in the exercise of its corporate social responsibility, promotes
and supports student immersion and job exposure training program and finds the existing
program offering of THE SCHOOL under its K-12 Senior High School Program in line with
such purpose as well as its corporate social responsibility program.
WHEREAS, pursuant to such objective of improving the knowledge, ability, habit, attitude and
skills of the Filipino senior high school students through the development of job skills and proper
work values/attitudes, THE MUNICIPALITY has expressed its willingness to partner with THE
SCHOOL and accepts student-interns to undergo the required student immersion and job
exposure training program.
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises and of the terms
hereinafter provided, the parties hereby agree to execute this Memorandum of Agreement
under the following terms and conditions:
Section 1. THE SCHOOL and THE MUNICIPALITY are to establish a student immersion
and job exposure training partnership under THE MUNICIPALITY’s internship program in line
with THE SCHOOL’s Senior High School Work Immersion and Job Exposure Program.
Section 2. As part of the partnership, THE SCHOOL and THE MUNICIPALITY agree to
undertake the following functions and responsibilities:
1. Undertake to carry out work immersion training for the senior high school
students-Grade 12 interns nominated by THE SCHOOL in accordance with the
Job Immersion and Exposure Plan jointly worked out by THE MUNICIPALITY
and the SCHOOL.
2. Agree to provide a minimum of 80-hour, or 40-hour per week for two weeks,
or a maximum of 120 hours for three weeks, or equivalent to its daily hour
allocation of eight hours, for the Grade 12 high school students-interns
nominated by THE SCHOOL.
3. Assign personnel to train and guide the Grade 12 student-interns, make
recommendations regarding discipline and proper behavior and determine the
aptitude of the student-interns in specific aspect of its services;
4. Provide the senior high school students-interns with the necessary information,
manuals, materials and tools, if necessary, required during the training;
5. Designate/appoint a TRAINING COORDINATOR to represent THE
MUNICIPALITY in all meetings with THE SCHOOL in connection with the
implementation of MOA;
6. Provide the student-intern’s safety and security during their job immersion and
exposure program including breaktime for lunch and snacks as provided by law;
7. Agree to explore creative ways to help THE SCHOOL promote its academic
program like the work immersion program;
8. Issue a Certificate of Training to the student-interns upon completion of the
training;
9. In addition to the above, compliance with the applicable provisions of
existing laws of the republic through the Department of Education regarding
student internship.
5. Exercise due care and diligence in the selection and supervision of the
student-interns in order that injury, damage or loss of person(s) and
property within THE MUNICIPALITY premises will be avoided;
6. Ensure that the student-interns undergo competency assessment after
completion of their training;
7. Promote THE MUNICIPALITY and its services by ITS REPRESENTATIVE
to conduct its marketing drive during school program and events particularly
during Career Guidance and Orientation for incoming senor high school
students.
8. Extend a privilege offer to THE MUNICIPALITY to be THE SCHOOL’s
potential sponsor and partner in advancing the cause of quality workforce
through quality education and internship program by mutually exploring
creative ways and means to achieve such thrust like seminars, should the
MUNICIPALITY agree;
9. Issue a Certificate of Training to the student-interns upon completion of the
training; and
10. In addition to the above, comply with the applicable provisions of the
existing laws of the republic regarding student internship.
Section 3. THE SCHOOL and THE MUNICIPALITY further agree that for the duration of
the work immersion and job exposure training program of the SCHOOL’s student-interns, the
following shall be observed:
Section 4. That all business and technical information, data, software and related
documentation, in whatever form provided, recorded or unrecorded (hereinafter collectively
referred to as “information”) which THE MUNICIPALITY may furnish or has furnished THE
SCHOOL and the student-interns shall be:
Section 5. This Agreement shall take effect on May 11, 2023 for School Year 2022-2023
and shall continue to be in effect unless terminated by either party by giving the other party a
written notice of its intention to terminate the Agreement at least thirty (30) days prior to the
intended date of termination. Any provision of this Agreement may be amended only with the
written consent of both parties herein.
