1. The history of hospitality and tourism can be traced back centuries ago to the 1700s
when young, wealthy Europeans began touring around Europe as a way to broaden
their horizons with a historical, artistic, and cultural education gained through travel.

2. As such, tourism is a product of modern social arrangements, beginning in western


Europe in the 17th century, although it has antecedents in Classical antiquity.

3. In economic terms the travel and tourism industry is able to do three key things:
a. It gives vigour to economies.
b. It offers people jobs and career prospects.
c. It stimulates development.
d. Economic development and regeneration.

 Effective Learning Learning is the process of acquiring new knowledge or modifying


the existing knowledge, behaviors, skills, values, or preferences.
 Personal Development Educational Tour offers the perfect informal setup for
discussion, dialogues and experiences which helps in developing various life-skills,
such as team building, time management etc. to enhance one’s reach and impact in
society.
 Deepen Social and Historical Knowledge Educational tour expose students to
different lifestyles, places, people and era. When on educational tour students broaden
the understanding of every aspect of the place and it’s people. Students gain first hand
experiences and which allows teachers to expand the topic which is not possible
during the normal class.
 Develop Critical Thinking There are several studies suggest that educational tour
stimulates student’s reasoning skills.
 Respect for Culture When students travel to different geographies they are exposed to
ideas, customs and social behavior of other societies.

4. The primary objective of hotel management is to provide excellent customer service


and ensure customer satisfaction. Hotels must create a welcoming and comfortable
environment for guests and provide them with personalized services. They must also
be responsive to guest feedback and address any complaints promptly.
5. Hospitality and tourism are both related and separate industries. For instance, airline
travel is considered as part of both the tourism and hospitality industries. Hospitality
is a component of the tourism industry, as it provides services and amenities to
tourists.

6. The core product of a hotel is providing accommodation and hospitality services to


guests. This includes offering comfortable and clean rooms, amenities such as dining
options, room service, and recreational facilities, as well as customer service to ensure
a pleasant stay for guests.
