• Here are some commonly used constructions methodology
techniques:

Traditional Construction: Also known as design-bid-build, this is a

traditional method where a project is divided into separate phases:
design, bid and construction. Design is completed before contractors bid on the
project, and construction begins after the contract is signed.

Design and Build: In this method, one party (the designer) is responsible for
both the design and construction phases. project This often requires close
collaboration between the client, designers, and contractors, which can result
in faster project delivery and potentially lower costs.

Construction Management (CM): Construction management involves hiring a

construction manager during the early development phase of a project. The
construction manager contributes to the planning phase, oversees the bidding
process and performs construction supervision on behalf of the client. This
method can provide better control and coordination throughout the project.

Integrated Project Delivery (IPD): IPD is a collaborative method where the

owner, architect and contractor work together from the beginning to the end of
the project. All parties share risks and rewards based on project outcomes, which
can foster better teamwork and innovation.

Lean Construction: Lean construction focuses on maximizing value and

minimizing waste during the construction process. Techniques such as just-in-
time delivery, continuous improvement, and collaborative design are used to
streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Modular Construction: Modular construction involves assembling components

or modules to be assembled on site and then transporting them to the
construction site. website for assembly. This method can reduce construction
time, minimize construction site disruptions and improve quality control.

Sustainable Construction: Sustainable construction focuses on minimizing the

environmental impact of the construction process and construction
activities. Techniques such as the use of recycled materials, the use of renewable
energy sources and energy-efficient design are often used.

Building Information Modeling (BIM): BIM is a digital modeling technique

that allows the creation and management of digital representations. of the
building. physical and functional properties. It enables collaboration, improves
decision-making, and facilitates coordination among project stakeholders.

These are just a few examples of construction methodology techniques, and the
appropriate method for a given project depends on factors such as project size,
complexity, and budget, and planning requirements.

project bidding.

A procurement package is a set of project documents that an owner makes

available to potential contractors during the bidding phase of a construction
project. A bid package, also known as a bid package or bid document, defines the
scope, requirements, and specifications of a project so that contractors can
prepare an accurate and competitive proposal. It is the basis for the preparation
and submission of tenders and ensures that all tenderers have access
to consistent and complete information.

Bid packages can be used with either a Request for

Proposal (ITB), Request for Proposal (RFP), or Request for Proposal (RFT). In an
ITB, the client is likely to provide a very specific scope of work and contractors
will compete primarily on price, while an RFP or RFT may contain less detailed
specifications so contractors can compete on access and price.

Bid packages contain mostly the same essential elements, whether for large
public construction projects or private development projects, with
some variations based on local laws or project-specific details.

The main elements of most discount packages are described below.
