Isotopes

Isotopy: is the occurrence of atoms of a single element that have the same
number of protons in their nuclei, but different number of neutrons.

1) Protons: 11, Electrons: 11, Neutrons: 12

2) Protons: 11, Electrons: 11, Neutrons: 14

Average Mass Number: 23.3

The two isotopes of element Y have the same chemical properties because
they have the same number of electrons and protons.
One physical property that would be different in the two isotopes are their
mass. Because their mass number is different, there is a difference in their
mass.
