2. Para 22 (iv) of 11th Bipartite Settlement dated 11.11.2020 (for Award Staff)
states that, "Provisions under Clause 10.13 (iii) of Bipartite Settlement dated 19"'
October, 1966 regarding restrictions on entitlement to LFC where both husband and
wife are working in the same Bank shall stand deleted. Accordingly, henceforth LFC
can be availed independently where both husband and wife are working in the same
bank.". Accordingly, when one of the spouse is an officer and the other is a workman
OR when both the spouses are workmen, the staff were allowed to avail the LFC
facility as per their respective entitlement. However, in cases where both husband and
e are officers, they are not allowed to avail the facility of their respective spouses.
3. Now, we are in receipt of Letter No. HR&IR/MBR/OTR/0660 dated 04.12.2023
from IBA (Copy enclosed as Annexure-I). Vide the said Letter, IBA has clarified that
Managing Committee of IBA has approved on 20.10.2023 that "Where both husband
and wife are working in the same Bank, both will be eligible for LFC facility as
per their respective entitlement". IBA has conveyed that the said facility will be
effective prospectively from 20.10.2023 (i.e. the date of approval by the Managing
Committee of IBA).
4. We are pleased to inform that the Board in its meeting dated 24.01.2024 has
accorded approval for adoption of IBA Advisory dated 04.12.2023 that "where both
husband and wife are working in the same Bank, both will be eligible for LFC facility as
per their respective entitlement" w.e.f. 20.10.2023.
5. Please bring this to the notice of all Staff members working u your

negotiations for the 12th Bipartite Settlement / 9th Joint Note. It was agreed that IBA will issue
a suitable advisory after seeking approval from the Managing Committee that "Where both
