To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to recommend Lea Gombert for a nurse Preceptorship.

My name is Lindsey Slotnick, and I am an Assistant Clinical Professor for the BSN-IH program in Gilbert Arizona. I
worked in the high acuity medical MICU, SICU, TICU at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center for my bedside
career and have spent 2 years as an educator. We have many students come through our program at the
University of Arizona, but Lea is unique. She possesses crucial characteristics of a great nurse such as a great
communication, collaboration skills, compassionate human kindness patient care. adaptable and eager to learn
and obtain knowledge.

Lea has been a very strong performer academically at the University of Arizona. She is a student who understands
instructions and is self-reliant in completing her work correctly and on time. She asks questions that shows that
processing and understanding what she is learning. While observing her in her clinical rotations, I saw Lea take
advantage of her clinical time on numerous occasions to practice her nursing skills. She has had clinical experience
in many different hospital systems and has learned the value of following protocol as well as evidence-based
practice in her patient care. She has also learned the value of professionalism. She exceled and truly learned the
value of team work and responsibility during her time in that rotation. She has spoken up for her patients and
advocated for their care. She has great care and compassion for her patients.

I believe Leaalso demonstrates the qualities of compassion and respect that I believe will make her a great nurse.
In all interactions with staff, students and patients, shows respect. She shows that she genuinely cares for those
around her even during stressful situations. These qualities along with her strong work ethic and self-reliance will
allow her to be a great nurse.

After sharing the many ways that I believe Lea is unique, I feel that should be considered at the top of your list for
this residency program. If you have any further questions about, please feel free to reach out by phone or email.
Thank you.

Sincerely,

Lindsey Slotnick
