TOPIC: NATURE AND ASSUMPTIONS OF ART

NATURE OF ART

- The word “ART” comes from the ancient Latin word “ars” which means a “CRAFT” or specialized
form of “SKILL”.
- ART is anything accomplished with great skills.
- It something that is perennially around us because it stands for various purpose and uses that
reflects cultural values, expresses ideas or emotion, tells stories and communication, aside from its
aesthetic value.

- ART is FOR ALL

2. ART IS NOT NATURE


-Nature is real such as birth, life and death as cycle of nature. Nature is beauty and is PERFECT
since it was designed by the God.
- This assumption discussed Art as MAN-MADE.
- It seen as the aesthetic representation of real-life situations, an expression of how man
interprets nature.
-ART is not directed by representation of reality, is a perception of realty.

3. ART INVOLVES EXPERIENCES


-ART engages five senses (hearing, sight, touch, taste, smell) that allows on creating
immersive experiences.
-An important aspect of experiencing art is that being personal, individual, and subjective.
