COURSE TITLE: Chief Mate– Remote/Blended learning 3+6

Entry Requirements:

Before entering on the programme candidates require 12 months sea service on foreign going vessels
more than 80GRT and 24m LOA whilst holding an OOW (unlimited) Certificate of Competency

It is the responsibility of candidates to ensure that all entry requirements for the course and the
issue of a Notice of Eligibility (NoE) by the MCA are met prior to attending the course.

SEPTEMBER (23035HNDSMEA&B) 4th September 2023 – 28th June 2024 *

*4th September 2023 - 22nd December 2023 will be remote learning, classroom studies will begin from 8th
January 2024

JANUARY (23035HNDSMEC&D) 2nd January 2024 – 11th October 2024 *

*2nd January 2024 – 29th March 2024 will be remote learning, classroom studies will begin from 22nd April
2024

SQA exam week commencing 01/07/2024

APRIL (23035HNDSMEE) 15th April 2024 – 21st February 2025 *

*15th April 2024 – 26th July 2024 will be remote learning, classroom studies will begin from 2nd September
