Leadership & Influence: Throughout my career as a Quality Control and Technical

Service staff at an adhesive manufacturing company, I have consistently demonstrated

leadership and influencing skills. One example of my leadership abilities is when I
initiated a cross-functional team to improve the quality control process. I identified a
need for better coordination between the quality control and production departments,
and I convinced key stakeholders to support this initiative. As the team leader, I
successfully guided the team to implement new quality control procedures, resulting in
a significant reduction in product defects and increased customer satisfaction.

In terms of influence, I have regularly engaged with colleagues and superiors to propose
innovative solutions to technical challenges. My ability to communicate complex
technical ideas in a clear and persuasive manner has resulted in the adoption of my
suggestions for process improvements. I have also mentored junior staff members,
sharing my expertise and empowering them to take on more responsibilities, which has
positively impacted the efficiency and productivity of the team.

These leadership and influencing skills have allowed me to make a positive impact
within my current organization, and I am confident that I can apply these skills to
become a future leader and influencer in my home country, driving positive change in
the field of Chemical Engineering.

Relationship-building and shared learning: In my current role, I have developed strong

professional relationship-building skills. I regularly collaborate with colleagues from
various departments, such as research and development, production, and sales, to
address complex technical challenges. Building these relationships is essential to
achieving our common goals. I have also established networks within the adhesive
industry, attending conferences and trade events to connect with experts and peers,
fostering knowledge exchange and shared learning.

As a Chevening Scholar, I plan to leverage my relationship-building skills within the

Chevening community. I will actively engage with fellow scholars, professors, and
professionals in the UK, facilitating knowledge exchange and collaborative projects. I
believe in the power of mentorship, and I hope to both seek guidance from established
professionals and provide mentorship to aspiring individuals in my chosen profession.

My dedication to building and maintaining professional relationships has proven

beneficial in my current role, and I intend to apply these skills to influence and lead
others within the field of Chemical Engineering in my home country, ensuring that we
remain at the forefront of innovation and technology.
