STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I am very thankful to you for providing me this opportunity and it is with sincere sense of gratitude that I incite my brief
statement of purpose. Striving for betterment and improvement has been my motto in all aspects of life, and the same
applies even to my professional and academic career. Having proved myself in Bachelor’s program in Electrical
Engineering and my tenure as a working professional, I look forward to further improve my knowledge and skills in
Technical as well as in management field, and for this I think a Masters in Engineering Management program will be an
ideal step.

In today’s world, technology plays a vital role in sufficing the need of every individual with respect to any field.
Technology and management are tapped to its full potential to manage the exponential growth of businesses every
while. To gain command over technical and management skill sets, Engineering Management programme is designed to
fulfill gap in industry for engineers with project management competences who can lead on engineering projects in any
sector focusing on both technical excellence and management ability in equal measure. This is a dynamic and
demanding programme, combining in-depth technical knowledge with a multitude of personal attributes and business
expertise. This programme is very constructive for professionals with some industrial understanding that wish to move
into management roles within the engineering industry. A strong desire towards project management has highly
motivated me to explore the field of management along with technology through Masters in Engineering Management
in your esteemed university.

After completion of my school education and Diploma course in Electrical Power System, I had enrolled into the
esteemed Mumbai University. As a graduate student from Mumbai University, I have focused my studies on the nuances
associated to Bachelor’s of Electrical Engineering, earning a score of 7.41 CGPA. During the course of my graduation
studies, I was not only bestowed with the theoretical concepts but also the practical knowledge of the same which
provided me with the skill set for sustaining in a stringent work environment.

After completion of my education in B.E. Electrical, I have been appointed as Site-Supervisor in MSETCL (Maharashtra
State Electricity Transmission Company Limited) on contract basis for 7 months ,where I gain knowledge in Erection of
Towers /Stringing of conductors/laying of Underground Power cable along with preparation of Technical estimates. Also
I witnessed Charging of GIS substation during my tenure. Moreover as working on field few management skills are
aquired by me. Information regarding Power grid system has enhanced my education related to Load flows/ Load
balancing.

With my work experience and education background, I believe the time is ideal to step ahead and venture more, I
realize that a Master’s degree in Engineering Management will enrich me by transforming me into a complete
professional and providing me with the necessary skillset to tackle diverse and intricate problems and make
indispensable contribution to this field.

Deeply interested in Engineering Management, I envision myself as a decision making Engineer who is capable of
innovating new ideas to help businesses evolve. I am confident that the strong practical focus of the program will help
me harness my potential to accomplish my career goals. I strongly believe that the quality of professors and students
defines the quality of an University, thus the superior level of education, research and the world class facilities at the
United Kingdom enthralls me to expedite my professional life thereof. As a person who craves for competition and
