Statement of Purpose

What I want to do in life is simple. I want to be a leader in the Mechanical Industry, with a
Management and an Engineering degree my quest for becoming successful will be in clear
vision. As a child I was fascinated by scientific phenomena and wondered how everything
worked. This love for science and to create new things was why I chose to graduate in
Mechanical Engineering. What I want to be is going to take a lot of work with dedication. But
With the knowledge and understanding of scientific principles and technology and a few years
of experience in management ,I am confident that I will achieve my goal. This is why I want to
pursue a 2-year post-graduate diploma in Supply Chain Management at Northern college of
applied Arts and Technology (Pures Campus )

The Supply Chain Management program is specifically designed for university graduates like me
to expand management knowledge and skill. I have been gaining experience in management
gradually when I first started my career in Metro tyres private limited after completed my
graduation for 5 years where I worked as a Assistant Manager. This has helped to boost my
confidence and taught me some important lessons, especially in the first couple of months. In
this period I worked the entire day and it was multitasking that enabled me to manage my
academics and work simultaneously. However, during this time I have encountered numerous
obstacles and unforeseen challenges. And, I could have done a better job at resolving those if I
had some management experience and education.

In Supply Chain Management program, emphasis is placed upon learning the elements of
supply chain strategic planning, network design, materials handling design and applications and
operations. The program will enable me to analyze end-to-end supply chain processes and
understand the importance of technology and software applications in facilitating and
supporting supply chain execution. And, that is what has further turned this initial curiosity to a
definite passion. More than what I have studied in school and college, it has been experiences
that have shaped the person that I am today. I believe that this unique blend of experiences has
made me a man with an original point of view. This blend has given me a good understanding of
life and a goal to aim for, and what will make this blend more fruitful and versatile is this
certification. This world is a beautiful place with uncountable opportunities. I want to join
Northern college of applied Arts and Technology in order to broaden my perspective and
improve my career prospects By opting for the above-mentioned program from a diverse
country like Canada, I am convinced that Canada is a better option as it has developed a
first-rate education system with high standards and global recognition.

Early in my life, at the high school level, I learned the value of hard work and perseverance
which served as a foundation for my studies in Mechanical Engineering at SBSSTC Ferozepur.
And, now I feel it is time to combine my engineering expertise with business to get the best of
both worlds. I scored 70% in my undergraduate degree. I am a very optimistic person. My
positive attitude to work hard and believe in what I am capable of kept me going. This taught
me that no matter how much you put on your plate if you are committed to achieving
excellence in all of your duties, it is possible.

Supply chain management integrates with mechanical engineering to make sure the projects
are executed in time and within the right and stipulated budget possible.I will develop a
foundation of concepts and solutions that support the planning, scheduling, controlling,
resource allocation, and performance measurement activities required for successful
completion of a project. It will not only provide me with theoretical understanding but also with
in-depth ideas of practical approaches in aiding managerial decision-making. General
management addresses a range of essential topics, including decision-making, establishing
evaluation criteria, determining trade-offs and estimating probabilities and risk. They are
designed to help gain a competitive advantage, whether you choose to work within an
established business environment or an entrepreneurial setting. I believe that the dream I
nurtured during my graduation has grown with me and I hope the day of realization is not far
off. I hope to become a part of the dynamic culture of the university which will give me a
leading edge to work effectively in diverse teams and situations. I am proud of what I have
accomplished thus far in my life and see much of it as a stepping stone toward a successful
future in the Management world. I now need to expand my skill set beyond its current level and
I see the curriculum offered at Northern college of applied Arts and Technology as the perfect
way to do so. I am eager now to bring my leadership abilities, involved personality, and a strong
commitment to academic success to Northern college of applied Arts and Technology . And this
next step is essential for me to realize my dreams for the future. Northern college of applied
Arts and Technology has been my most prior choice for scholastic development for half a
decade. I know I won’t be ready for that challenge without this next crucial achievement.

Financially, I belong to an established family in India. I have remitted my first year tuition fee of
CAD $16485 to Northern college of applied Arts and Technology (Pures campus) and I have also
purchased a guaranteed investment certificate of CAD $10,200 for my living expenses in
Canada. My parents will support my education and other expenses during my stay in Canada.

I do not shirk to work and I look forward to taking on challenging and unconventional tasks. I
tend to work in an inimitable and visionary way that enables me to solve difficult problems with
ease. After my period of study at Northern college of applied Arts and Technology, I wish to
work at multinational companies anywhere throughout my home country with the help of
international exposure.
