Executive Summary
This project report has been prepared on the basis of the Summer Internship at Stanza living
pvt ltd.
The Indian economy is the second largest growing economy of the world and the Student
Accommodation sector is one of the major contributors and concerns in the growth of the
Indian economy. Student housing in India is estimated to rake in over $10 billion in revenues
annually. I have undertaken this study to analyze the perception of the student in the choice
of student accommodation and also to identify the various reason contributing to the growth
of the sector. The study is based on the data collected both through primary sources such as
questionnaires, personal interviews and secondary sources like internet, journals, books and
magazines. The sample size taken for the study was of 75 respondents who were interviewed

CONCLUSION
Student housing in India has always been a nightmare. Think back to your student days —
that 10x12ft room which you shared with your noisy (or nosy) roomie, where you had to
stash all your belongings in half a cupboard split horizontally (or vertically, for that matter),
could open the bathroom door only wide enough to sidle in because the study table got in the
way, had water for only a few hours, harrowing power cuts, rickety beds, and, not to forget,
pain out of student living in India and redefine the space with its scalable, professionally
managed offerings and decided to offer students something beyond cramped and makeshift
cubby holes with unreliable infrastructure, poor maintenance, and non-palatable food.
