Then he invited a lot of his friends to come to his home and showed them the magic paintbrush. He drew a
lot of pictures, but they could not become real. He was very angry and asked some people to get Ma Liang.
When Ma Liang came, he said to him, "If you draw some pictures for me and turn them to life, I will set you
free." The young man knew that he was a bad man in the village. Of course he did not want to help him. He had
an idea. He said to the bad man, "I can help you, but you should obey your words."
The bad man felt very happy and said, "I want a golden mountain. I will go there to gather gold." The young
man drew a sea first. The bad man was angry and said," Why did you draw a sea? I do not want this. I want a
golden mountain. Draw it quickly."
Then the young man drew a golden mountain which was far away from the sea. The bad man saw that and
felt very happy. He said, "Draw a big ship quickly. I want to go there to gather gold." The young man smiled
quietly and drew a big ship. The bad man jumped into the ship first and a lot of his family and friends jumped in
too. When the ship sailed to the middle of the sea, the young man drew a large wave, and it destroyed the ship.

The following text is for questions 17 to 19.
There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. He could get angry easily. His father gave him a bag of nails
and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day, the
boy had hammered 37 nails into the fence. For the next few weeks, as he could control his anger, the number of
nails hammered was getting smaller. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to hammer those nails into
the fence.
Finally, the day came when the boy didn't get angry at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested
that the boy now pull out one nail each day he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the boy was finally
able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.
The father took his son and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son! but look at the holes in
the fence. They still remain until now. It will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar
just like this one. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there.

Henry Ford was a famous American engineer and car manufacturer. He was born on a farm in Dearborn in
Michigan in 1863.
He was firstly man to mass produce cars at a price which people can afford. Although at first he made
automobiles that only rich people could afford, he wanted to build a car that was cheap enough for most families to
own and in 1903 he succeeded.
Ford was very interested in horseless carriages. He decided to build one himself. He began to experiment with
engines until his first car was made in 1893. Night after night he would work on it like a mad man. At last, in 1896
the vehicle was ready for a trial run. He then ran it round the block. It went well. Finally, in 1903, the Ford Motor
company was founded.
The thing that made his company famous was his mass production line. Instead of having each person build the
entire motor car, he had one person doing their own small job. Because this saved a lot of time and money, Ford
could offer more cars to the American public at a lower price than anyone before him.
22. “The thing that made his company famous was ....”

Blueberries are flowering plants of the genus vaccinium with dark-blue, purple, or blackberries. Species in
the section Cyanococcus are the most common fruits sold as ‘blueberries’ and are mainly native to North
America. They are usually erect but sometimes flat shrubs varying in size from 10 cm to 4 m tall. The leaves
can be either deciduous or evergreen. They are oval shaped like a two-dimension section through an egg, with
1-8 cm long and 0,5 – 3,5 broad. The flowers are bell-shaped, white, pale pink or red, sometimes tinged
greenish.
The fruit is false berry 5 – 16 mm diameter with a sparkled crown at the end; they are pale greenish at first,
then reddish-purple, and finally blue ripening. They have a sweet taster when mature, with variable acidity.
Blueberry bushes typically bear fruit from May through June. Fruiting times are affected by local conditions
such as altitude and latitude.
We can get many benefits if we consume blueberries. They contain antioxidants and are useful for human
nervous system and brain health. People may have them in juice. They are considered as a low GI fruit; means
they have a favorable impact on blood sugar regulation. Diabetic people are safe to consume it. We can freeze
them without losing their delicate anthocyanin antioxidants until six months.
