Introduction
I. Have you heard about the stories of resilience and triumph amidst the dark history of slavery
in the Caribbean Island?
I. According to science.org Between 1500 and 1875, about 4.8 million enslaved Africans
were brought to the Caribbean, compared with about 389,000 brought to the United
States.
II. Slavery in the Caribbean Island relates to me because my ancestors were slaves from East
India
III. Many are unaware of slavery in the Caribbean so learning about it would be very eye
opening
