Voyager 1 (along with its twin Voyager 2) were made to explore
Jupiter and Saturn carefully, and then go on out of the solar system.
THey were fitted with a gold disk each with engravings and many
other artifacts in case extraterrestrial species found the probes.

scientific instruments. Thi means it will continue its
intergalactic journey for years and centuries to come.

solar system and potentially send a message to any
intelligent extraterrestrial life. Voyager 1 has a gold disk
