Compac KG Meter Monitor

The KG Meter Monitor enables the user to monitor the function of a KG80 Meter.
This is done simply plugging the KG Meter Monitor into the KG Meter via the
C4000. This Guide has been made to show how the monitor is to be connected.

Step 1 Software CD KG Monitor power cables

Make sure you have all the items before


you start
 2 x KG Monitor Boards
 2 x KG Monitor power cables
 Serial Cable
 Software CD

Step 2

Plug the KG Monitor power cable into the KG


Monitor. Plug the 2 x 4 way housing into CON 1 (it is
also labelled C4000).

Step 3

Plug the serial cable into the D9 connector. Then


plug the other into the computer

Step 4

Remove the cover from the C4000 processor and place


the board above the spitter board.
Step 5

Plug the 1 x 5 way housing from the meter into the CON 3 on the KG Monitor Board
(it is labelled KG80 monitor).

Step 6

Pull the KG80 Meter power cable out of the splitter Meter power cable

board and then plug it into the KG monitor (labeled


KG80 Power). Then plug the other end of the KG
Monitor power cable into the slipper board.

Step 7

Insert the CD into the cdrom drive. Open up My Computer and run the setup. After
the program has installed. You will now be able to monitor the KG meter. There is a
file called info.rtf, which is stored in the place where the program is installed. The file
tells you how to interpret the data from the monitor program.
