Kites are quadrilaterals that are neither parallelograms nor trapezoids but have very rich
properties. Its diagonals are worth studying as these have become bases for some major
constructions and designs of structures.
Today, kites come in different colors, shapes, and designs.

A simple kite would look like this! Kites were invented in China. They were
made of split bamboo and silk and where used in the military for signaling and
observation.
Based on the pink kite above, observe and describe its shape.
1. How many pairs of consecutive sides are there?
2. How many pairs of congruent angles are there?
3. Are the diagonals congruent? Perpendicular?
4. Do diagonals bisect the kite’s angles? If so, which ones?
