Some people support that smoking should be banned in public areas, and I completely agree with
this opinion because of the following reasons.
First of all, smoking causes bad health effects not only on the smoker but also on the people around in
public area. All of them have to seffer from the smoke and may have lung cancer in the near future.
Second, smoking will release litter into the environment and pollute our environment.
Moreover, smoking also makes passive smokers in public areas inhale secondhand smoke, and this
annoys them in the smell and poison in the smoke.
In conclusion, I think that smoking should be banned in public areas.

If one of my friends is going to visit my hometown and will stay there for a couple of days. She would like
to enjoy local food. There are three options : seafood, fast food, and chicken rice. I would recomment seafood
because of the following reasons.
- First, my hometown is famous for seafood when it is delicious with good prices, and then she will never
forget her memory about food in Quy Nhon
- However, fast food can be found everywhere, and it is not good for her health.
- And chicken rice can also be popular in her hometown.
- Second, there are many good dishes made from seafood, and she can enjoy not only the food but also the view
where she sits for eating seafood. It’s so wonderfull.
- In other words, I think the best option for her would be seafood.

Nowadays, it is advised that people should use more public transport, and I completely agree with this opinion
because of the following reasons.
- First of all, public transport helps us save money. We just pay for the ticket fare with cheap prices without
spending too much money buying a car.
- Second, it also helps save fuel. When many people sit in a bus or a train or a plane, it will use less fuel. This
will not happen if everyone travels by their own means of transport.
- Moreover, with public transport, people have personal time and can do many things like reading a book,
surfing the Facebook or watching Youtube. It is so comfortable.
In conclusion, I think that people should use more public transport nowadays.

suggested: a camera, an English dictionary and a sweater, I think the best option is a sweater bacause of the
following reasons.
- First of all, it is cheap, cheaper than a camera, so it’s suitable for students like me. A sweater just costs me from
100,000 to 300,000 VND while a camera may cost me up to 2 or 3 million VND. And an English dictionary is not
necessary for her because she can use her call phone to look up new words easily and conveniently.
- Second , she will need it in England where the weather is very cold in winter. Whennever she wears it, she will
miss me

I think that although information is freely available on the internet, museums are still a need because of the

- First of all, in a museum, we can learn the greatness of civilization by watching and touching objects, so it’s more

- Second, museums also create a mysterious world for visitors, especially children. In a museum, there are many
interactive games which make visitors feel as if they were living in that period. It is very wonderful.

- First of all, it is fast and convenient. I just write the news in an email and then send it to all of my friends in a few
minutes
- However, most of my friends live far away from Quy Nhon, so I can’t meet them to talk in person.
- I also don’t want to post the news on the Facebook because some people who don’t like me may say something bad
about me.
- Second, I can get a lot good experience from my friends. They will send me good advice which with help me to work
better through the email. It is private, so no one can know what we exchange with each other

- First of all, it is the personalities. The job should be suitable with our personalities. For example, if we are patient and

- Secondly, it is the money-earning. We often want to find a job with high salary because we cannot live without money

locations suggested: Da Lat, Nha Trang and Sapa, I think the best option would be Da Lat because of the
following reasons.
- First of all, Da Lat is nearer to HCM city than Nha Trang or Sapa. It takes them about 5 hours to travel by coach
from HCM city to Dalat, but if they go to Sapa by train or coach, it takes them at least one day and a night to
arrive in Sa Pa, so it is impossible because they have only 4 onlys off.
- Moreover, the weather in Da Lat is wonderful when it is cool and clean, so they can escape from the very hot ang
polluted atmosphere in Sai Gon. Da Lat also has so many beautiful landscapes like Than Tho Lake, Xuan Huong
Lake and so on where they can enjoy and take photos.It is so wonderful.
In other words, the best option for them is Da Lat.

I think that emails are useful in modern society because of the following reasons.
- Firstly, emails are enviroment- friendly because when using emails, we don’t waste much paper, and we don’t
throw rubbish to the enviroment. Therefore, a lot of trees are not cur down to make paper.
- Secondly, emails are very fast. It takes us about 2 or 3 seconds to send and get an email. However, when we send
a letter by post, it takes at least two or three days for the receiver to get it.
- Thirdly, it is easy to use emails. Almost everyone can do that. They just turn on the computer or laptop, open the
email, compost the content and sen it. Everything is on the screen,
In conclusion, emails are useful in modern society.

and write in English , and when she corrects or helps the students in English, her speaking English will improve.
*However, if she works as a café waiter in a café where there are so few foreigners or foreigners don’t want to talk
to her, then she can’t practice English often.

First of all, computers can store a large amount of data. We can save so many documents in a computer and

Thirdly, computers can provide online shopping. We don’t need to go to the shop, and we just search what
we want to buy on the internet, order them and then they will be delivered to our house. It is very convenient.

And I think buying nice clothes or having a luxurious meal is not necessary for me, and spending 3 millions for clothes

following reasons.
First of all, music is the best way to relax. When we are sad or tired, we just listen to some music that we like and then
we feel comfortable.
Secondly, it helps people to cheer up. People who listen to fun and strong music can feel happier. They can dance with
the music.
Thirdly, music is used in different ceremonies. A birthday party, a meeting or a wedding party and so on cannot be
interesting if there is no music.
In conclusion, I agree that music plays an essential role in our everyday life.

- First of all, it is cheap, cheaper than a cruise or an African safari, so it’s suitable for students like us. A
camping site just costs each of us from 800,000 to 1,000,000 VND while a cruise on the sea may cost each of us
up to 30 million VND. And an African safari may cost up to 50 million VND.
- Moreover, it is safer in a camping site. We can do everything without dangerous things. While on a cruise, we
cannot swim, so we are afraid of falling into water or in an African safari we may meet dangerous animals.
In other words, the best option for us is a camping site.

- First of all, travelling helps us to get refreshed. After a hard time of working or studying, we feel tired and

the beautiful sightseeing and live with nature.
- Moreover, travelling improves our knowledge. We can know about the people, the food and everything in the
place where we visit.
- Thirdly, travelling enhances the economy. In tourist destinations, many services for tourists such as eating,

If a group of friends are going to celebrate the end of exams, among the three locations suggested: a pool, a party club, and
a bowling station, I think the best choice would be a party club because of the following reasons.
- First of all, it has comfortable space for them to organize fun activities. They can play there for a long time or until late
in the evening.
+ But, at a pool, they cannot. They can only swim and quickly get tired. If some members can’t swim, it is very boring.
+ A bowling station is the same. There is no enough space for them .
- Second, it is cheaper in a party club. It just costs each of them 100,000 VND, while if they go to a bowling station, they
must pay more than that. They are students, so they should save money for their study.
In other words, the best option for them is a party club.

I think that learning foreign languages is essential for every global citizen because of the following reasons.
- First of all, it offers us many job opportunities. Nowadays, most big companies interview their applicants in English, so
if we are good at English, we can find a good job with high salary easily.
- Moreover, learning foreign languages makes us self-confident. When we study English, we practice speaking English
with our friends or our teacher or in front of the crowd, and then we become more and more confident to communicate
with people.
- Thirdly, it helps us have an easy communication. When we are confident, not shy, we easily make friends with
strangers, and we can go anywhere in the world we like.
In conclusion, learning foreign languages is essential for every global citizen.

It is Vietnamese. I use it every day.
2. How did you learn your second language?
I learn my second language from my teachers and friends. Besides, I listen to English on the internet.
3. What languages would you like to learn in future?
I would like to learn Korean because I really love Korean films and music. I want to communicate with Korean people
when I visit this country.
