Exploring The Impact Of Public Health Initiatives

Rationale of the study

Generally, a number of important themes underpin the search
for effectiveness and efficiency in public health. These themes include
the focus on the social determinants of health, how evidence interacts
with policy, and ethical considerations. This study will take place in the
barangay bankal near by school campus, this is the place we chose to
study the effectiveness and effeciency of public health initiatives to
interview the implementors and recipients in the barangay . These issue
will be focuses on increasing barangay bankal health threats, reduce
disparities within communities and contribute to a barangay where
people live healthier, safer and longer lives. These initiatives have had a
profound effect on the development and maintenance of public health
systems, leading to significant advancements in healthcare and disease
prevention.Barangay health initiatives play a crucial role in promoting
the overall well-being of individuals residing in local communities the
overall well-being of societies throughout in the barangay. The
respondents of this study are the health initiatives implementors of the
barangay bankal.

These initiatives aim to address various health concerns and improve

the quality of life for residents. The purpose of studying BHI is to
understand its significance, effectiveness, and impact on community
health.

The potential of public health programs to enhance overall population

health outcomes is a crucial justification for their use. Studies have
demonstrated that interventions like smoking cessation programs,
immunization drives, and access to clean water can considerably lower
morbidity and mortality rates.

Midway through the 1990s, leaders in the fields of medicine and public
health created the Medicine/Public Health Initiative as "an evolving
forum in which representatives of both sectors can explore their
mutual interests in improving health and can define collaborative
mechanisms to achieve that goal." The Initiative's participants
developed six goals that they and others in the fields of medicine and
public health across the country should aim The writers go into great
detail on the six aims and highlight the crucial (Fulmer 1999).
The absence of thorough evaluation techniques is one of the study's
significant weaknesses. It is challenging to assess the success of many
public health efforts since they are carried out without the required
monitoring and evaluation. It becomes difficult to determine which
initiatives are effective and which ones require improvement without
reliable evaluation tools. The scant attention paid to cost-effectiveness
is another flaw. It is crucial to make sure that investments in public
health programs produce the greatest possible returns on investment.
There isn't enough evidence, though, to say if these programs are
effective in terms of costs incurred per successful outcome.
Additionally, additional long-term studies are required to evaluate the
viability of public health measures. While short-term assessments
might offer insightful information, comprehending the long-term
consequences is essential.
This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness and effeciency
of "Health Initiatives" in barangay bankal.
Theoretical Framework

The study is anchored from the theoretical support of the seven

models on implementing large-system, value-based healthcare
initiatives and achievement by Sarkies, M. N., Francis-Auton, E., Long, J.
C., Partington, A., Pomare, C., Nguyen, H. M., and Braithwaite, J.
(2020). Value-based healthcare delivery models have emerged to
address the unprecedented pressure on long-term health system
performance and sustainability and to respond to the changing needs
and expectations of patients. Implementing and scaling the benefits
from these care delivery models to achieve large-system
transformation are challenging and require consideration of complexity
and context.
