Entrepreneurship"

Objective/s:
The "Inspiring Future Leaders: BSN Students' Seminar on Nursing Entrepreneurship" is designed to
empower nursing students with the essential knowledge, skills, and inspiration for successful
entrepreneurial endeavors in healthcare. In this seminar, students learn to mix their medical expertise
with business knowledge. It helps them become nurse entrepreneurs who can enhance patient care
and have a meaningful impact on healthcare.

Participants will achieve the following objectives:


1. Comprehend the concept of entrepreneurship and recognize its significance in the healthcare
industry.
2. Learn to blend medical know-how with business skills, understanding how they connect and
contribute to healthcare innovation.
3. Build skills for continuous learning and adaptability in response to the ever-changing healthcare
landscape.

Student Initiated Activity:


Nursing students initiated an activity for a Nursoc event, focusing on a relevant topic of interest. They
planned and organized the event, inviting guest speakers and creating a platform for engaging discussions
and learning opportunities.

Feedback:
The seminar commenced with a warm welcome from the emcee, Ms. Marrean Cansino. Subsequently, Ms.
Hanna Mikaela Santos led the opening prayer. Following the introductions, Ms. Niña Criselda Pascual, the
team leader, delivered Welcome Remarks and presented the objectives of the program to ensure
attendees grasped its purpose and expectations. Following this, Ms. Lei Anne Santos introduced and
welcomed the Guest Speaker, Mrs. Mary Rose Manalili-Tubang, RN.

Later on, the Speaker delved into her personal journey, recounting her experiences as a student and the
challenges she faced while aspiring to become a nurse entrepreneur. Emphasizing the significance of
education, licensing, and proper training in becoming a Professional Glutathione IV Therapist, she shed light
on the essential elements for success in this field. She also discussed the benefits, potential side effects,
and contraindications of Glutathione in the human body and how she applied her basic skills as a nurse
when her client is in distress while having Gluta drip. Additionally, the Speaker highlighted the broader role
of nurses, stressing that they are capable of going beyond their jobs as hospital employees and entering the
world of entrepreneurship.

Following the seminar, Ms. Sorcha Abigail Lachica facilitated an open forum, providing an opportunity for
attendees to pose questions and seek clarifications on the seminar's topic.

As the program approached its conclusion, Ms. Analyn Castelo delivered the closing remarks, expressing
gratitude to all participants and nursing faculty for their attendance and active engagement.

Concluding the program, Ms. Hanna Mikaela Santos offered a heartfelt closing prayer, seeking guidance
and blessings from the Almighty for everyone as they set off on their journeys and pursue their professional
endeavors.

This seminar on nursing entrepreneurship is a motivating example of the many talents that nurses possess.
It empowers nursing students that they can be successful in both traditional healthcare roles and in
entrepreneurship, leading and innovating in a wider range of professional activities.

Output:
Insightful presentations, active participant engagement, and positive feedback from attendees resulted in
the seminar’s success.

Evaluation:
Based on the evaluation result, the seminar got an overall average rating of 82.49. The items that got the
highest score of 4.92 are numbers: 2.2. (The program was well organized) and 3.4 (3.4. Audience rapport.)
while item numbers 3.2. (Facilitator’s communication skills), and 4.2 (appealing to the audience) got the
lowest average rating of 4.79.
