Utilise media, The materials used in the activity is an animation video about the
materials story of Hansel and Gretel which is 9 minutes long. In the video,
there are the moving graphics, narration, audio and texts. Other
than that, the materials needed for this activity is a set of crayons,
marker pens, and also A4 papers.

Require learner’s Induction set: (6 minutes)


- The teacher discusses about the concept of fairytale and
participation the characteristics of a fairytale.
- The students need to brainstorm any fairytale story that
they know.

Step 1: (10 minutes)


- The teacher explains about the fairytale that they are going
to learn through the lesson.
- The teacher gives explanation to the students regarding the
activity step-by-step so that the activity will go smoothly.

Step 2: (9 minutes)
- The teacher shows a clip of animation about the story of
‘Hansel and Gretel’.

Step 3: (25 minutes)


- Based on the animation video shown, the students need to
work in group to analyse the elements of the story.
- Then, each of the group has to draw a Wanted Poster of
the antagonists in the story and also their crimes.

Summary: (10 minutes)


- Teacher needs to summarise of what the students have
come up with.
- The students have to explain about their Wanted Poster
and how they come up with the antagonist of the story.
Evaluation Students’ understanding can be measured by:
- Their ability to explain about the backgrounds of the
antagonist and why he or she is being chosen as ‘the bad
guy’.
- The details of their drawing.

Improvements that can be made:


- Enriching questions are to be provided so that the students
can delve deeper into the story.
- Provide summary at the end of the video to ensure that the
students get the meaning and values from the stories.
