FOREWORD

Setting new benchmark of education for learners and teachers is the

most significant thing that our educational system need to focused, it is how
we will deliver, maintains and continue the mastery and learning of our
learners with the assurance of health and safety of both learners and
teachers, and all DEpEd staff and employees because of the situation that we
our facing today (covid-19 pandemic). We can never predict the future ahead
of us, we can never can tell what will happen next, but we as a human, a
survivor, must be prepared to the things that will happen.

These learning delivery modalities is created to give guidance and route

to both learners and teacher to have a plan in continuing teaching learning
process without the traditional face to face learning. The learning process that
we can adopt today is the new normal” scenario through adopting distinct
opportunity modes of turning in getting to know which includes distance
learning, blended learning and homeschooling. This path will be an aid to
supply and maintain the quality of schooling to our learners.

Supporting the basic education Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) to

position into movement the marching orders of the education secretary is a
great thing to possibly happen the educational ideals and dreams to our
learner’s success in behalf of the pandemic that we are facing today and/or
tomorrow.

We, the teachers are gladly support the advocacy of our education.
With confidence, we look forward to develop, enhance and improve our
performance in service phases of being a teacher.

Onward to success whatever we face!

INTRODUCTION

This Learning Delivery Modalities is a guide and how it helps to all

teacher’s in delivering teaching-process in the new normal. This portfolio
indicates the purpose for which it is written. It is indeed for present and
future use in delivering teaching learning process. This portfolio considers
that the primary target of it is how do teacher and our educational system of
our country equipped to do its best for in delivering quality education to all
the learners.

This portfolio is divided into five parts. Each part contains module
which are focusing by a set of organizing, designing, planning, unpacking,
and building this teaching portfolio related to implementations of different
learning modalities.

Module I contains the course overview and organizing the LAC session
activity, its definitions and its importance in this course. It explains how the
LDM works, guide the right path in delivering the Learning Delivery
Modalities (LDM).

Module II is a presentation of unpacking the most essential learning

competencies, how it’s essential learning will be deliver to the learners, by
addressing their needs.

Module III contains the target intervention to different learning needs of

each learner, it discusses about how we will cope with the learning task,
assessment method, and the individual monitoring plan for the learners. This
part will serve as the pointing out possible problem, interventions and
planning stage of this course.

Module IV is focuses on the professional development plan for teachers

to maintain and continue its standard in giving quality education. This
portfolio will help in tracking the progress of teaching practice in our school’s
LDM by leading to foresee and address some challenges in implementation of
the school’s LDM. It will also help in making plans, modes and strategies on
teaching practices on the implementation of the Deped Programs “No
Learners shall be Left Behind” on this pandemic situation.

This portfolio in general, tends to a guide for planning and develop our
professional being to support the advocacy of our educational system and
contribute the quality and best education to all learners no matter what we

Lesson 1
COURSE OVERVIEW

Learning Delivery Modality Course is guide to a self –directed modules

that is no longer requires dialogue in developing teachers’ expertise in
gaining knowledge of modalities that we apply in the new normal situation.
The essential cause of this path is the Basic Education Continuity Plan
(LCP) that supports the movement of our educational system in making sure
that learning maintains at the same time as making sure the safety and
health of all learners, teachers and all who advocate to education.

This course help ensures that educators will be able to deliver

quality instruction in the “new normal”. Educators doing it best to alter
its way in imparting methods for learners to give quality education, we
are adopting a new opportunity of modes which includes Distance
learning, Blended and Homeschooling as an intervention in continuing
basic education to our learners depending on the needs and applicable
intervention.

There are t w o support mechanisms that will help with l e a r n i n g

in this course,

LDM 1 is for school principal and leaders, targeted at the

implementations and control. LDM 2 is for teachers, targeted the
educational implication, adapt the coping and innovative mechanism.
LDM 1 and 2 will be used as a guide mechanism.

The aid mechanism will assist as follow:

1. the learning benefit from webinars/trainings attended

which are all link to this route.

2. the collaboration of our coaching ways in sharing

insights and skills to develop during the LAC sessions, and aid
to everyone in getting to know every module of this route.

Learning the LDM course with the collaboration and shared

insights with co-teachers is very effective in creating this
course possible.

LESSON 2: ORGANIZING YOUR LEARNING ACTION CELL (LAC)

ACTIVITY 1

Let’s start refreshing our memory. DepEd Order No. 35s. 2016
titled “The Learning Action Cell as the K to 12 Basic Education
Program School- Based Continuing Professional Development
Strategy for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning.”

The following are objectives for conducting LAC sessions as listed in DO

35, s. 2016

 To improve the teaching-learning process to improve learning among

students
 To nurture successful teachers
 To enable teachers to support each other to continuously improve
their content and pedagogical knowledge, practice, skills, and
attitudes
 To foster a professional collaborative spirit among School Heads,
teachers, and the community as a whole

The most challenging part to have a successful LAC sessions are;

1. validation of expected learning outcomes if it is reached,

identifying the disadvantaged groups, knowing the gaps and
strengths of every LAC session.
2. the complexity of instrument used, in order to measure a set
of skills, knowledge and abilities.
3. lack of communication between technical bodies that
administer assessments and decision makers.
3

According to DO 35, s. 2016, a LAC should have no less than 2 but not
more than 15 members each. Get in touch with your designated Coach or
LAC Leader in forming your LACs.

1. Agree on a date and time to meet and discuss forming your LACs. Follow
LAC Session Guide for the conduct of your LAC.

2. During this meeting, decide on your groupings and designate one LAC
Facilitator and one LAC Leader per LAC.

3. Note the following in forming your LACs:

 LACs should be composed of teachers. Discuss your preferred LAC

composition with your assigned Instructional Coach (this will be a district or
division supervisor assigned to your LAC).
 After forming your respective LACs, there should a LAC Leader assigned to
you from among the following school members:
» Master Teacher

» Head Teacher/Department Head

» Other senior teachers who have proven competence, potential to lead,

or subject expertise to lead the LAC.

 Teacher LACs can connect with their Instructional Coach through the LAC
Leader. This Instructional Coach will also be handling multiple LACs through
a network of LAC Leaders.

REFLECTION:

Unpacking and combining of MELCs is important in

systemizing the learners learning activities, it is also
effective in addressing the needs of the learners and
how the instructional deliveries may vary to every
learner.

In taking the unpacking and combining of MELCs, we

should have some considerations to adopt, since it is
an alignment on the content and performance
standards, prerequisite knowledge and skills, and
logical sequence of learning objectives.
The importance in delivering the instruction are

REFLECTION:

Learning task is design for the learners what to do during

the teaching learning process, it is a process of how the learners
taught and learn in a modular manner.
But since we have a different approach in teaching
learning process during this pandemic, not all task is found in
the SLM, we should provide additional printed materials to our
learner to produce aModule 3A of a lesson. We should give
complete part
constant communication with them and/or their parents to give
a proper instruction and to monitor the learner’s capability in
learning.

To probe feedback on different learning task, in order to

develop, refine or modify the current and future lesson, we have
to check the output and modules f our learners. We must have
a communication procedure with parents/guardians for any
comments and suggestion to develop synchronized distribution
and retrieval of learner’s output.

REFLECTION:
Designing a home learning plan for the learners is very essential to
parents and to the teacher.
Teachers must discuss and teach parents/guardian how to make
their own learning home plan so that parents could understand and
know how to manage their child at home.
Having this home learning plan is a big help for both
teachers/learners and parents to provide quality education not only in
school setting.

REFLECTION
Personal Development Plan is an essential tool for our
development. It is an evaluation for our personal traits like our
strength and developmental needs being an educator. My personal
development plan aimed to resolve some of my problems
encountered as a teacher.
In making this I found out that my strengths are; I have the
ability to work collaboratively in groups, Professionalism and
ethics, and the applied skills in the effective communication of
learner’s needs, progress, and achievement to key stakeholders,
including parent and guardian.
I identified also those developmental needs that may help me
a lot to become a better and effective teacher. I gave myself a
perfect timeline to do this as possible as I can. Resources needed
were also identified.
