1. Nosebleed idiomatically, it means to be overwhelmed

and perhaps confused when someone is
speaking in English fluently
2. Pirate Filipino English: To hire someone away from
another company (like "poach" in American
English)
3. High-blood Angry, agitated.
4. Live-In the state of an unmarried couple living
together is frowned upon
5. Salvage Tide along with the word murder because its
often used in media regarding murder cases
6. Comfort Room C.R, means restroom or the prevailing room
for the bathroom
7. Napkin refers to sanitary pads for that time of the
month
8. Ref Instead of “fridge”, Filipinos use the
abbreviation ref to mean refrigerator.
9. Balikbayan A Filipino visiting or returning to the
Philippines after a period of living in another
country.
10. Estafa Criminal deception, fraud; dishonest dealing
11. Despidida A social event honouring someone who is
about to depart on a journey or leave an
organization; a going-away party
12. Chancing It means to take the “chance” to “cop a feel”
and make sexual advances over someone
who is most likely not wanting such advances
13. Barangay Basic unit of administration
14. halo-halo Filipino dessert
15. bongga Extravagant, flamboyant
16. Bad shot usually used when you’ve annoyed someone
or have someone displeased with you
17. Ice drop Popsicle ice cream
18. Vulcanizing shop Tire repair shop
19. Pasalubong a gift or souvenir given to a friend or relative
by a person who has returned from a trip or
arrived for a visit.
20. Flyover A bridge, as for a road or train tracks.
