HONEYMOON BEYOND - The tale of a runaway couple.


On British TV’s, Short Show, Oscar-winning Director Danny Boyle, enthused about Kaprice’s
35mm debut: “SHOT WITH DISTINCTION, ENERGY, COMMITMENT AND VISION.” Then
he gave a glowing endorsement of the Director/Screenwriter: “EXCELLENT… A REAL FILM-
MAKER.”

THE HURTING - Breaking the silence, of man’s last, and most guarded taboo.
Two years later, Simon Rumley, in Savvy magazine was lauding the merits of Kaprice’s ,irst
feature: “AN ATMOSPHERIC TALE ABOUT VULNERABILITY AND LONELINESS… THE
DIRECTOR TREATS THE RAPE AND ITS AFTERMATH WITH A GRITTY, ALMOST
PASSIVE REALISM.” marvelling at how the ,ilm came about:“… THE STORY OF THE
HURTING IS ONE THAT SHOULD FUEL THE FIRE OF MYTH AND INSPIRATION FOR A
GOOD FEW YEARS TO COME… A REFRESHINGLY IDIOSYNCRATIC BRITISH FILM.”

BUTTERFLY MAN The karmic voyage of a guy, learning from the consequences of his
actions. The Sunday Times described Kaprice’s second feature, the ,irst foreign “indie” to
be shot in Thailand as: “BEAUTIFULLY SHOT… AN EXOTIC, SENSUAL ADVENTURE.”
James Cameron-Wilson, in Film Review went on to commend the authenticity of the award-
winning ,ilm: “KEA HAS CAPTURED THE SEDUCTIVE DIVERSITY OF THIS WONDROUS
LAND… AND HAS STRUCK GOLD.”

VIRTUES OF KNATURE
The fairytale of the Princess who “did as she would, and not as she should”.
“Visually–striking.” Ian Christensen of Artswork magazine, hailed Kaprice’s ,irst-ever ,ilm,
a 16mm featurette as: “ ...a stunning cinematic debut.” An epic vision, with the sets of the
fairytale kingdom built entirely out of scrap and recycled materials, he added: “Where the
Dilm scores is in its subtle creation of an atmosphere of poetry, mystery, and magic.”

BIOGRAPHY

Kaprice Kea is a British ,ilm-maker, whose formative years, and early career was spent in
London.

In January 2000, Kaprice re-located to Bangkok funding himself by directing TVCs. Based
upon an original story, and his subsequent screenplay, Kaprice had come to direct Butter,ly
Man, the ,irst-ever "indie" feature to be shot in Thailand.

In 2002, Kaprice formed Fluid Film, to facilitate various projects and activities. During those
15 years, most Sundays, Kaprice provided workshops and courses for aspiring actors,
embarking upon a career in international ,ilm.

Kaprice has twice ,lown in LA Casting Director, Ivy Isenberg to help local actors understand
how the industry works overseas. It was a few years after 19 year old, Krystal Vee attended
her ,irst Master Class, Ivy contacted Kaprice. She was looking for a stunning actress,
pro,icient in screen ,ighting, to play a lead role, Princess Silda. Kaprice shot and uploaded
the audition so Ivy could view in LA. Finally, with his ,irst-hand' endorsement of Krystal,
Universal Studios cast Krystal in Scorpion King 3, before going on to live and work in
Hollywood.

From the "hands-on" cultivation of quality local actors, Kaprice’s opinion are continually
sought by foreign producers and subsequently, Kaprice is afforded the respect to negotiate
for their rights, customary to those enjoyed by their peers overseas.

In 2010, Kaprice produced the rock movie Glory Days for American, Roy Alfred Jr, providing
the necessary expertise, contacts, and cast to get the ,ilm shot.in Pattaya.

During the last two years, Kaprice has returned to his passion - directing. The ,ilms include
his third feature, The Attic (a contemporary ghost story, which he also re-wrote and edited),
his self-shot, documentary debut, If the Walls Could Scream (the ,inal days and death throes
of Bangkok's oldest nite-spot, Check Inn 99) and Finish, a shot ,ilm created out of a
‘discarded camera test.
