SURVEY REPORT : MANAGING NATURAL

RESOURCES
INTRODUCTION :
The survey on managing natural resources was conducted to assess perceptions,
attitudes, and behaviours related to the management of natural resources among
respondents. This report presents the key findings and analysis derived from the
survey data collected from 29 participants.
SURVEY OBJECTIVES :
The objectives of the survey were to:
• Understand the awareness and attitudes towards natural resource
management.
• Assess current practices and behaviours related to resource conservation.
• Identify perceived challenges and opportunities in managing natural
resources.
METHODOLOGY :
• The survey was distributed electronically to a sample of 29 respondents.
• Participants were asked to respond to a series of questions related to their
perceptions and behaviours regarding natural resource management.
• The survey was conducted anonymously to encourage honest responses.
• Limitations: The small sample size may limit the generalizability of the
findings.
KEY FINDINGS :
1. Awareness and Attitudes:
• 82.8% of respondents indicated a high level of awareness of the importance
of natural resource management.
• 93.1% expressed concern about the depletion of natural resources.
2. Practices and Behaviours:
• 93.1% of respondents reported actively engaging in practices to conserve
natural resources, such as recycling and reducing energy consumption.
• 62% of responders reported proper regulation of mass media and
communication is necessary for promoting practices that will help managing
natural resources efficiently.
CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES:
• The top three perceived challenges in managing natural resources were
identified as
(1) lack of government policies and regulations
(2) limited public awareness and education
(3) economic constraints.
• Opportunities for improvement include increasing public awareness,
implementing effective policies, and promoting sustainable practices.
ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION :
• The survey findings highlight a generally positive attitude towards natural
resource management among respondents.
• However, there are challenges that need to be addressed, including a lack of
effective policies and barriers to behaviour change.
• The analysis suggests that targeted interventions aimed at increasing
awareness and addressing barriers to sustainable behaviours are essential for
effective resource management.
RECOMMENDATIONS :
Based on the findings, the following recommendations are proposed:
• Implement educational campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of
natural resource conservation.
• Develop and enforce policies and regulations to promote sustainable practices.
• Provide incentives and support for individuals and businesses to adopt eco-
friendly behaviours.
• Foster collaboration between government, businesses, and communities to
address resource management challenges collectively.
CONCLUSION :
In conclusion, the survey findings underscore the importance of effective
natural resource management in addressing environmental challenges. By
implementing targeted strategies to increase awareness, promote sustainable
practices, and overcome barriers, we can work towards a more sustainable
future for generations to come.
