Project: Biometrio Earth

Biometrio.earth’s Market Entry Strategy

The climate and biodiversity crises, which are interconnected and exacerbate each other,
experience growing political momentum and private sector interest around the globe. Nature-
based solutions (NbS) have become pivotal as they simultaneously address biodiversity loss,
climate adaptation, mitigation, and resilience. NbS projects currently dominate the rapidly
growing voluntary carbon market, where carbon emitters can offset their emissions by
purchasing carbon credits from certified projects that remove greenhouse gases from the
atmosphere or avoid further emissions.

However, the voluntary carbon market has a serious transparency and accountability problem
exposing offsetting customers to high financial risk as well as serious damage to their reputation.
The situation has become so dire, that serious doubt about legitimacy and use of these
investments as a climate solution is raised. Biometrio.earth uses scalable technology that
combines space-borne and in-situ sensors to measure and permanently monitor the
performance (biodiversity, carbon, trees planted, hectares protected) and real impacts of NbS
projects.

Organisational background

Biometrio.earth is the first company that offers cloud-based processing of biodiversity and
ecosystem health monitoring data from microphones and camera traps in combination with
space-borne sensors measuring changes in land-cover and biomass. This technology not
only brings full transparency and integrity to NbS projects, but also enables next level
interactive story telling using soundscapes, high-resolution pictures of key species, as well
as interactive information on critical habitats.
Project drivers
● Biometrio earth biodiversity and carbon credits
● marketing strategy for Australian and Asian-pacific
market target investors

Project proposal

The primary goal of this project is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the market potential
for product sales in the Asian-Pacific region for biometrio.earth. Additionally, the project will
explore and propose effective marketing strategies tailored to the Asian-Pacific markets. Lastly,
the project aims to devise a marketing strategy to promote biometrio.earth solution for the Asian-
Pacific markets. In terms of the operational aspects, our primary focus is the Australian market
and then servicing the Asia Pacific region from Melbourne Australia.

To this end, we would like you to focus on the following key areas. You may choose the country
you would like to focus on from the Asian-Pacific region. Your coach will assist you in this regard.

A) Identification and Justification:

● Identify a specific market segment within an Asian-Pacific country that would show
interest in biometrio.earth cloud-based biodiversity solution.
● Identify the challenges that the identified market segment faces in seeking a solution to
measure changes in land cover and biomass.
● Develop a robust justification highlighting the market potential and feasibility of
implementing the biometrio.earth cloud-based biodiversity solution for the identified
market segment.
B) Stakeholder Analysis:
● Identify and analyse key stakeholders involved in the adoption of biometrio.earth cloud-
based biodiversity solution within an Asian-Pacific country.
● Understand the influence that key stakeholders may exert in the context of introducing
the biometrio.earth cloud-based biodiversity solution.
C) Strategy Development:
● Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy tailored to promote the biometrio.earth
cloud-based biodiversity solution within the identified market segment.
● Research and recommend potential investors within an Asian-Pacific country who may
be interested in supporting environmental technologies.
D) Implementation Plan for Marketing Strategy:
● Outline a step-by-step implementation plan for executing the proposed marketing
strategy.
● Define criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) for evaluating the success of the
marketing strategy.
