Chapter 1: The Problem and It's Background

A. Introduction

Power outages can include short-term to long-term loss of electric power to a specific

area. Outages can affect homes, businesses or entire cities. It affects a business or

company in a variety of ways. It can affect on-going business operations especially

when they rely on networks and web-based technologies. It has an impact on

employee's productivity. They may not be able to complete their tasks key equipment

is down.

Power outage is something a company like Burgos Auditing Firm has no control over but

they have the control whether they will prepare for it or not. "If there is power

interruption, We are discussing our client's problem regarding to their accounts and

think of ways on how ti solve it," ( Rachele America,2019.)

According to Arvin Lalusin (2019), a staff of Burgos Auditing Firm, they used to

organized their tables and simply sort important documents of their clients when there

is a power interruption. Sometimes, they make plans and preparations for the next

day of work.

This study aims to identify the coping mechanism of Burgos Auditing Firm towards

The scope of this study were used 15 staffs as a sample in conducting a survey. This study

limits it's coverage on the staffs of Burgos Auditing Firm only. It's main purpose is

identify the common problems that they may encounter and to propose possible

solutions regarding this problem.

This study considers every aspects os the staffs personal information that has an

impaction to their coping mechanism such as, their behavior and capability to do

their job sincerely. The data and information used and probable results if the whole

study are based on the interview of the staffs that are prepared and conducted by the

researchers. The researchers will choose their respondents through selective sampling.

And this study focuses on the staffs of Burgos Auditing Firm.

F. Significance of the Study

The study will be very beneficial to the following:

Staffs and workers of Burgos Auditing Firm: The study will help them to identify and be

aware about their coping mechanisms toward power interruption.

Companies and businesses: They can use the resultsof the study ti cope effectively with

such situation such power interruption.

Students: The study will give them knowledge on how they will cope with power

interruption if they will become a worker or staff in a company someday.
