Effects and Transitions

Visual effects (sometimes abbreviated VFX) is the process by which

imagery is created or manipulated outside the context of a live-action
shot in filmmaking and video production.
They can enhance a scene, help build something which does not exist,
cover up a mistake and so much more. Basically, they help a filmmaker
tell a story the way they want to.

Types Of Video Editing

Speed, distortions, reflections, artistic filters, stylistic color grading,
animated transitions, 3D elements like CGI and more.

Video transitions are a post-production technique used in film or video

editing to connect one shot to another.
Often when a filmmaker wants to join two shots together, they use a
basic cut where the first image is instantly replaced by the next.
But what if the filmmaker wants to convey a particular mood, jump
between storylines, switch to another point of view, spice up the
narrative, or move backward or forward in time? This is where more
artistic transitions are useful.

Types Of Transition
1.Basic cut
2. Whip-pan
3. J-cut
4. Jump-cut
5. Match-cut
6. Shake

What is Log Sheet?

A video shot log is a written record of the shots on a tape or disk. The shot log
can be made either as the shoot progresses or after the shoot finishes. If
possible, it really helps to do the shot log during the shoot — it will be easier and
save you time later.

There are no hard and fast rules regarding the format of the shot log. Basically,
whatever works for you is fine. If you are working in a larger team environment
you will probably have a standardised format so everyone uses the same
system and gets the required information.
