Equivalent or equivalent fractions is that the

numbers are equal to one another.
Okay class, what fraction shown now?
Answer may vary.

Although those are two different fractions but

they are both equal.

C. Discussion/Lesson Proper
Equivalent fractions - are the fractions that
have different numerators and denominators
but are equal to the same value.
Similar fractions – are fractions having the
same denominators.
Dissimilar fractions – are fractions having
different denominators.

For example;
2 3
and
4 6
It is equivalent fraction because they both are
1
equal to the .
