During Han dynasty, Chinese farmers in ancient times used iron plows for tilling fields, it is
also known as the moldboard plow. This new tool had a pointed central piece with wings to
push soil aside, reducing friction. This enabled Chinese farmers to practice contour plowing,
following the hills' shapes to prevent soil erosion.

Persia

Persian engineers had perfected the art of ice storage in the heat of summer in the desert by
400 BC. Large quantities of the ice were transported in from neighboring mountains during
the winter and kept in a Yakhchal, or ice-pit.

The earliest known evidence of the bow and arrow comes from South African sites like
Sibudu Cave, where arrowheads that date from between 72,000 and 60,000 years ago have
probably been discovered.
